ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

People seem to be overlooking the fact that Liverpool have to beat Newcastle too
...... I know it's pretty much a given but still.... Funnier things have happened.

this newcastle is relegation material next season imo. think there's very little chance remy will sign perm and they're a one man team with him there atm. they'd lost 7? in a row before beating cardiff. think a few of them were easy fixtures as well.

Speaking of choking, Everton had thr league title at our mercy in 1975 with three games to go and contrived to lose it.

The teenagers will need to ask their granddad about that one :pint2:

I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but West Ham fans have a thread on their own forum wondering how many of them want West Ham to lose today to keep Liverpool from winning the title. Tells you all you need to know about how neutrals feel really.
Just been reading that particular thread. It's a lot like our match thread last week.

Also. As I think we are all losing focus here.

City will actually want to win, rather than accepting West ham contriving to win to hand the league to them.

I can see it already.

"We only wanted Champions League!" Meanwhile the media will be saying the Reds never had a chance after the horror of Sterling's offside. Does anybody remember, did Sterling go in and actually score or was he just one on one with the keeper? Joe Hart saved one from Naismith quite recently.

I wonder how long before people start turning away from Sky now their true colours have been shown this season. My missus hates football but even she asks why they always talk about them when they're not even playing. I never remember it being this bad. Carragher mentioning the Derby result for the next couple of weeks after, Redknapp not only being as irritable as normal but having pot shots at the other teams, David James stealing a living. I know the BBC can be as bad but at least people don't pay for that pleasure.
