RAWK TOWERS

City were favourites to me although in fairness, they only won it because the top 4 this year have been rather weak and inconsistent

They've got the highest wage bill of any sporting side, that's why they won the league.

Pretty nauseating listening to the Sky pundits going on about how the club are doing this in the "right way" though. It's not exactly difficult to simply spend hundreds of millions of sovereign petrodollars.

Sky and its football pundits are notorious for brushing such factors under the carpet, though, so it shouldn't come as that much of a surprise. They're obviously hell bent on promoting entertainment value the Premier League 'product' that they've pumped billions of pounds into. You only have to watch this video to understand how blinkered the Sky cretins are:

The huge statistical anomaly of a team who were perennial mid-table/up and down yo-yo'ers now going on to win 2 out of the past 3 leagues. Not through developing a playing philosophy. Not through developing talented youngsters. The one, obvious variable in the whole thing is the moolah.

Good to see Sherwood saying were would Liverpool be without Suarez

Rodgers knows deep down if he leaves for Madrid he's in serious crap

The best thing about all this, is the fact that it really did look like they were nailed on for the title a few weeks ago. They were 1/6 ffs. It had that horrid Istanbul inevitable feel to it. Then you seen them celebrating v City, and they 'knew' they'd won it. Gerrard crying, for some reason he said because of Hillsbrough, although he has never done that before, but far be it from me to be cynical, of course LFC would never use something like that to make themselves look good, like wear an armband, would they Brendan?

That game will go down in folklore v Chelsea. That slip. That rant from Rodgers who had realised he was in an amazing position, let his massive ego get in the way of logic, and contrived to lose a game they only needed to draw against an under strength side with one eye on a massive CL semi final. Those 'super fans' singing outside Chelsea's hotel 'We are gonna win the league.' The firm of whoppers.

Then came Palace, and the beautiful capitulation. We all enjoyed that one. What has struck me about this season, is that they have won games they shouldn't have. Next season they won't. I honestly believe they will be fighting for fourth at best next season, this season they had no extra games, and surely you can't get 12 pens again. Well they might like, but they won't get that close to winning a title again.

1/6 they were lads, 1/6.

Thank you God.

From some mook on Facebook:

"Well done boys, job done. Well done City. One thing though - if a team fails financially during any given season they get docked points when it happens. When a team overspends however, nothing happens to them (a fine!) until AFTER the season in question finishes. I think that is wrong that financial irregularities are treated differently depending on whereabouts in the football league you are. Also a fine in place of points deduction is inconsistent. Just saying. YNWA."

Fkn moron. If that was the case, Liverpool would have had points docked too!
oh lord, not only have they spent loads, SOMEHOW they werent docked points when they effectively went into administration because they missed the loan repayment. He's wrong on BOTH ends of that argument somehow!
