Can you imagine all the Norweigans going on their tour of Anfield in the summer. If is was the host i would point to the pitch and say look that's where your hero and captain slipped and lost you the title.lol

It's their paranoid delusions that I love the most.

Take the poster boy for one eyed myopic and bitter kopiteism - everyone's favourite hair ruffling, rug lipped penalty missing beaut John Aldridge.

Steven Gerrard will be hurting after missing out on the title. Rivals fans will keep bringing up that slip against Chelsea because they’re jealous they don’t have someone of his calibre.

Steven shouldn’t blame himself. No Liverpool fan blames Stevie and that slip isn’t what we’ll remember this season for.

No John, they're bringing it up because he's a hateful bellend and everyone likes to laugh at hateful bellends when they become unstuck. It's also referred to in certain places as karma John.

And yes John, everyone is going to remember this season for his slip, even your own fans.

If I was a United fan I’d be embarrassed about that plane which flew over Anfield before kick-off on Sunday.

They’ve just endured their worst ever Premier League season and haven’t even qualified for the Europa League. It really was laughable.

We’ve clearly got them rattled after what’s happened this season.

We took six points off them without conceding a goal and we’ve replaced them in the top four.

Steven Gerrard has obviously upset them with all those goals he’s scored at Old Trafford over the years.

They are worried and rightly so. They know we’re on the rise at a time when they are really struggling. I hope they fly plenty more planes over Anfield next season.

You're so not bothered John and it shows. I'm sure United will really be bothered by your not arsedness this season and next while they remain the most successful English team while your mob are choking silly at the hint of winning a title.

The great season we’ve had is underlined by the fact that Liverpool are so well represented in England’s World Cup squad.

Steven Gerrard, Daniel Sturridge, Glen Johnson, Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling are all off to Brazil and young Jon Flanagan is on the standby list.

I was fortunate enough to go to two World Cups and it was tremendous.

And what a great ambassador you was for the sport and the nation you we're clinging onto to get a game in international football.

Well in John.

lolololol, ironic he uses the word upset. so one or two fans decide to fly a plane over anfield and he thinks that's the basis to judge manchester united as a club and fans as a whole. the same united who won the title last year whilst liverpool have been strugglinga round 7/8th for a bout 4/5 years. yet united are rattled, leave it out you blert, it's called taking the piss out of your mornic fans and it obviously hit a nerve.

nice little sample of results he's managed to pluck out there. throwing a title away with 3 games to go is not throwing it away because they had some good results before that lar!

where was the bad luck that cost liverpool the title btw? do they call gerrard's slip unlucky? i'd be ashamed of that control when i was playing under 9's football - that's not bad luck.

you blew it liverpool, you had all the luck in the world and you utterly blew it and even worse it was your captain marvel who wilted under no pressure and blew it for you, come on, be big enough to admit it he made the mistake and who knows, next year could be you year.

ha. i missed that part when reading the article. 20 years time little kid looks through archive tables, hey dad look, we nearly won it this year what happened?

umm can't quite remember son, says we lost 2-0 to chelsea right at the end of the season. umm, maybe we denied a stonewall pen at 0-0 as per usual.

Why Stevie G is most self-obsessed footballer of his generation
http://www.sundayworld.com/sport/op...st-self-obsessed-footballer-of-his-generation
AS Liverpool buckled this past fortnight, the scale of the surrender to sentiment and the Great Myth of Steven Gerrard became apparent.....
Whilst box head is rightly getting slaughtered in the media for his part in Liverpools failure, i can't help but notice how Brent is getting away scot free, just casually going about his business.

Slipard may of lost this latest Liverpool battle but its Brent who has lost them the war when everything is broken down and analysed. Brendan one plan, is the main reason why these maggots are not celebrating (officially) their first title in 2 decades. When you concede more goals than a Crystal Palace side which up until 6 weeks ago, were certain for the drop, how in gods name do you expect to win a title? Its been widely talked about in here about his tactics or lack thereof and his gung ho, hollywood 50 yarders into the channel Wimbledon esque playing style ............................... but i don't see Brent getting torn to shreds as he should be. How is this skidmark getting away with it, i'll never know. Instead he picks up LMA Manager of the year before a guy who won 2 trophies in his first season in England.

@RED will be delighted with this news

I suspect we shall see a true test of Rodgers managerial credentials/ability in the next season. They really did blow it this season. They won't ambush teams again . Hopefully the refs will be wiser to their diving tricks as well. I see the Newcastle lad sent off has had his red rescinded. Surely the refs that get duped and shown up must harbour a 'won't be fooled again' mentality when officiating them.
