Adidas choose this image for Suarez to advertise their new boots:

I suppose it IS what he's most famous for.

No mark Rodgers:

“We are one of the biggest clubs in the world - one of the great institutions in modern football.

“The Champions League was what we were all fighting for. It’s a wonderful platform for all the players and that opportunity is there now.

“We are playing at the highest level. We’re at the leading edge of the game playing a really exciting philosophy of football that people are looking at and admiring both at home and abroad."

...erm

One of the most notorioius institutions of modern football isn't quite the same, no mark.

Of course you were just fighting for a CL place. There there.

'A really exciting philosophy'. Only if your philosophy is "Punt it long to Luis, lad"...or its close relation..."Belt it long to Daniel, lad".

Rodgers: the most laughable fraud ever to hit top flight football. It'll all end in tears. Guaranteed.

My favourite description of him would be that he is a Charlatan.

They wont challenge for the title next season IMO. They had a great run of form, no doubt, but they didn't kop for many suspensions or injuries bar the rat at the start. That's unlikely to happen again. Then throw in extra games too.

Another summer of poor signings and back to scrapping with ourselves, Spurs and the likes will bring the spotlight into harsh focus for cocknose.

It was a freak season when they caught everyone cold with Brendan's latest set of principles of hitting teams hard and early and going very direct - which has now been rumbled by other teams. Add the outrageous number of penalties they received and the massively light workload they had to deal with it and you get a situation where a very expensively assembled squad can do some damage.

All of that is off the table next season (I doubt even they will get the record number of pens again). I think they'll finish CL places, but probably only just.

He really has disappeared up his own hoop hasn't he.

Let's see how he copes with losing Suarez and how he spends the windfall.......

The deludeds will be expecting a title challenge again next year and he's never going to deliver it imo, as they won't be a surprise to anyone next year and their opposition will plan to nullify them. He's already shown (and stated) that he's got no 'plan b' so they'll not reach the same level. It just remains to be seen how far they'll fall. If they're outside the top 4 at the mid point, they'll start turning on 'the new Shanks' nailed on.

He could take lessons in humility off Donald Trump this guy.

Added to the fact they had a striker, who on last season's form, was probably in the top 5 players in world football. I think that's why he broke down after the Palace game. He just had the season of seasons, and what did the team win? Nothing. That must be hard to take. In the back of his mind he knows that had he been at any top club, he would probably have a league medal and a Cup at least to show for it.

Rodgers said the other day that Suarez is an intelligent lad. Well, if he has a braincell in his head, he will also know that the current Liverpool squad needs investment of at least 100 mill to compete successfully in both the CL and PL. And it has to be spent correctly. Any more transfer cock-ups (like Aspas, Llori, Sakho, etc) and they're in trouble.

I think he'll go this summer to be honest.

He's the personification of presentation over substance. In reality, stripped down of all the flannel and BS, here's what's really happened: season one he took Liverpool to the dizzy heights of 7th pace with his boring, play in your own half, Allen-as-the-fulcrum football; this second season Gerrard's will prevails, they play much more direct with two attackers operating at peak performance, they get a free hand to focus on the league and they still balls it up with their highest ever scoring total.

The feller's a con man. Anyone who talks the way he does you just know they're covering up their own insecurities. Deep down he know's he's about as innovative as Billy Davies.

It's going to be hilarious watching his fall from grace. And it'll happen very quickly too.

Haha. Yeah it's strange how little stick he's got for that, it's literally the worst thing (short of physically attacking someone) that you can do.

Just the notion of shagging my brother's wife is disgusting to me.

Supposedly he hasn't even apologised to his brother either. I've always thought there was something really sociopathic about Giggs. He constantly has this really cold and emotionless expression, and seems like he'd be quite manipulative. Think this was verified when Moyes got sacked (even though it was the right choice IMO) and he was given the position right away. He was definitely involved in that process.

Seems like a slimey sod.

Suarez is an unspeakable piece of filth, of course, but I wouldn't have blamed him for going around the pitch at Selhurst Part and screaming at the dogs who let it slip. He'd dragged those chumps to a title and they imploded on him.

Hilarious like.
