Uruguayan Chelsea fans........

Here's one comment left on Dummett's twitter page:

@FicoGonzalez13 “Hi @PaulDummett, from Uruguay we hope someday u come here to have a nice time w/ friends. We have things for you, like a bullet in the head.”

Hmmm.

That sounds more like a *cough* 'Chelsea' fan threat.

Brent:

“I think every title run-in will always have the pressures that come with it and we have shown we can cope with it”.

Erm...from the end of the City home game when *they won it*:

Liverpool
Won 2; Lost 1; Drew 1.
Goals scored 8
Goals conceded 6

City
Won 5; Drew 1.
Goals scored 16
Goals conceded 5

Not what I'd call coping with pressure.

Just when you think he can't get any worse, that's some special stuff he's smoking if he believes that.

Its not a huge injury. The miniscus is only a layer around the knee, it can fold over on itself which will then cause pain as it rubs against the other parts of the knee. The injury is actually usually caused by overkicking/extension or a sudden twist not an impact injury.
I had the exact thing a few years ago. The scar heals within 4/5 days.
It all depends on whether they 'scoped' out his knee as well to ensure everything was ok - it they did the knee will take longer to heal due to inflammation.
Loads of cold therapy to reduce inflammation. Ice, cyrotherapy, standing in ice baths etc
Back light cycling and swimming after 7 days.
Running within 2 weeks I'd say.

He's finished as a top slotter. His game revolves around twisting and turning, this way and that way. Once he starts getting injuries to that area the integrity of the cartilage is compromised. He'll be in and out with injuries.

I think this is the gist of it. Its ok the injury healing but the acid test will be when hes playing. Opinions are varied but if theyre saying he'll play in the World Cup, albeit not in the opening games, he could end up worse than before the op hes had. Im sure FSG over in the States will have the worry beads out over their prize transfer asset in spite of the damage limitation in the press.

I reckon that will happen if the Uruguayans are mad enough to force the issue. Liverpool need to step in there to protect their 'asset'.

Long term though, this is the injury that neutered Torres' explosiveness that made him a top finisher.

It's his meniscus not his acl or pcl, it won't effect him as much but if he doesn't heal it fully before returning he may like people are saying have a lot of niggly injuries.

I think I own that sweatshirt Luis has in that picture of him in the wheelchair.

As for the death threats, well, that's pretty typical is it not? Dummet barely got him, Suarez probably hurt himself in the theatric fall. He was clean through, betcha he wouldn't have gone down if he knew that.
