ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

B-Rod - ' I think every title run-in will always have the pressures that come with it and we have shown we can cope with it '.

What kind of wool is he trying to pull over people's eyes here. No, City shown they can cope with the pressure that comes with winning the league pot by winning 5 of the last 6, out scoring opponents by over 3/1 in the process. His team failed when in such a commanding position at the top of the league after the City win. We all knew it and if you didn't, Suarez' break down at the end of the Palace game, gave it away. Actions speak louder than words and that break down was a ' we've well and truly bolloxed this lads '.

I'm convinced the pressure from the fans popped open the cork. The banners at the game, the banners at training, the guards of honour with 10 games to go, all the talk in the media and word on the street, t-shirts, scarfs etc... It was all a domino effect and they couldn't cope with it.

B-Rod with peanut sized gonads who clearly hasn't got the bottle to admit what ' The real Neutrals ' know.

Its not a huge injury. The miniscus is only a layer around the knee, it can fold over on itself which will then cause pain as it rubs against the other parts of the knee. The injury is actually usually caused by overkicking/extension or a sudden twist not an impact injury.
I had the exact thing a few years ago. The scar heals within 4/5 days.
It all depends on whether they 'scoped' out his knee as well to ensure everything was ok - it they did the knee will take longer to heal due to inflammation.
Loads of cold therapy to reduce inflammation. Ice, cyrotherapy, standing in ice baths etc
Back light cycling and swimming after 7 days.
Running within 2 weeks I'd say.
You are a right spoil sport mate.

Here's one comment left on Dummett's twitter page:

@FicoGonzalez13 “Hi @PaulDummett, from Uruguay we hope someday u come here to have a nice time w/ friends. We have things for you, like a bullet in the head.”

Hmmm.

That sounds more like a *cough* 'Chelsea' fan threat.

Good grief.

' Eh la jus pu a Z on da end kidda '

I reckon that will happen if the Uruguayans are mad enough to force the issue. Liverpool need to step in there to protect their 'asset'.

Long term though, this is the injury that neutered Torres' explosiveness that made him a top finisher.

I think Suarez will be the one that forces the issue, on whether to play or not, he will not give LFC a second thought. When Uruguay were involved in the world cup play off with Jordan, there was talk that if they won in Monteviedo comfortably then Suarez would be rested for the return in Jordan, so as to be fresh for the Derby. Uruguay won 5-0 but Suarez still played in Jordan, he was flown back by private jet. By the time the next week's game against Hull, Suarez was well below par, probably due to the after effects of jet lag.

LFC have blamed the Uruguayans and they are saying it happened against Newcastle. There will be insurance considerations and compensation to take into account if the injury becomes more serious.

Oh yeah, Liverpool come well down the pecking order for Suarez...which is comical given the adulation he gets off the kult.

He has just had an op, though, and if Liverpool have any clout at all they need to control that situation. It's a massive amount they stand to lose if the rat breaks down again with this in the near future. His value will crash.

I'm hearing now that its a 3 week maximum with this injury. I'm simply not having it myself but even so, surely Liverpool, as his employer will step in and make sure he isn't rushed back. Surely Liverpool's own team doctors and specialists will be on hand to assess him for themselves before he is given the all clear.

The fact he is being wheeled around in a wheelchair would suggest its a longer time frame than the 2-3 weeks being spouted now.

Even if the tissue heals in that time frame you'd have to think that the very reason the knee broke down in the first place was repetition and fatigue (the Dummett 'trauma' is nonsense, so that can be ruled out). If they get him patched up and out again it doesn't address the issue: which is that he needs rest after a season when he's pulled his tripes out trying to drag that shower of [Poor language removed] over the line as champions.

It'll be beautifully ironic if a critical peno worthy challenge goes in on him next season, he does his Saving Private Ryan routine, only to be ignored by a ref that's seen enough of his antics, and it turns out his knees totally imploded and he's out for months.

He played 2,964 minutes in 33 league games last season. Which basically is playing 90 minutes per game. Apart from the first handful of games in the season he couldn't play, he started and played every minute of the remaining Premiership games. They were blowing teams out of the water by 4 or 5 goal margins and yet he still remained on the pitch and played the 90. He was never rested once in the league against opposition in which they were likely winners before a ball was kicked.

It all points again to B-Rod and that Wimbledon punt and run system he uses and only one plan. We can mention Sturridge, but Suarez is the effective figure in this system and without him, it breaks down.

He comes not to play

He'll burn out like Torres did. Liverpool squeezed the pips from that career and they've done it agin with this feller. You really need four (certainly no less than three) top strikers and rotate them. Liverpool haven't got it and have overused both him and Sturridge.
