ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Henderson had a dream season by his low standards last time round. He's very limited though - runs around a lot, has a good little engine on him.

Would I want him at United? Not a chance. He's just another Darren Fletcher, without the dodgy guts.

Rickie Lambert: "It's hard to take in I'm a Liverpool player".

Why? Hasn't he seen the utter dross that's pulled that shirt on over the past 25 years? Or maybe he's just referring to the fact he's playing now for his boyhood club...the one that punted and fed him to the lower leagues.

According to B - Rod

Lambert is " one of the most accomplished footballers I've seen".

I guess he doesn't watch much football then

does he regularly watch 3rd/4th division football?

rickie lambert formerly of Blackpool, Macclesfield, stockport, rochdale and bristol rovers, up until 5 years ago. brendan must have watched a lot of him there.

Reading the Echo and listening to the RS on the radio, I wonder how they didn't try and sign this 'most accomplished' centre forward years ago, when Rodgers took over. It is astounding that this 'most accomplished footballer' wasn't snatched up by the Barca's, Real's, Bayern's, Chelsea's, Man City's, United's of this world. Rodger's has certainly stole a march on the Premier League opposition and the rest of the Europe. And £4 million and rising is a bargain for the 'most accomplished' footballer.

"Rickie Lambert says his mum and dad cried at his return to Liverpool"...The Guardian

My Ma would have said " I said ta tell 'em ta get stuffed...they wanted rid of ya when you were a kid...they can ....off, the hard faced .......Have another whisky, Father McNally ? "

My late brother would have cried too....but not for the same reason. God rest his soul.

then take some anti gagging pills mate

lallana's just told saints he wants to leave after WC.

i would like him here for about £12m, possibly £15m at the absolute max (spread over a few years) but he is in no way worth the £25m they've rejected from liverpool so that's a no go.

think he'll end up at the RS, don't think he'll prove to be worth the fee they'll pay for him as he won't fit their system, think of the players they could get from abroad with that type of money ha. they're not exactly going to be buying CL quality are they?

Lambert is "a Roy of the Rovers, fairy tale story"!!

He's signing from another PL club and a current England international picked for the WC.

They have to make a song and dance about EVERYTHING don't they?

Wallopers

Decent player but I'd be not so quietly chuckling away if they threw circa £30m at that. And the Shaqiri back up plan is dodgy too. I can't say he's ever done anything to make him look top draw.
