they use to claim reina as the best keeper in the world when he couldn't even get a game for spain.
It is a blatant attempt to get around FFP that's all.Just looking at their Anfield renovation plans with interest for the first time. Wow, what a letdown! I think those Kopites registering disappointment are fully entitled to do so.
The capacity stands at 44,000 now; the plan for 2017 is to add another 9,000 to bring it to 53,000 by revamping the Centenary Stand (thousand of these new seats being taken up by a middle corporate tier). The only other plan they have is a provisional commitment to revamp the Anfield Road stand by 2024 after assessing the impact of the Centenary Stand's upgrade...by which time they'll have sold up and frigged off anyway. Leaving out all the external to the stadium nonsense they're trumpeting (to deflect from the above, no doubt) that is seriously underwhelming.
No wonder FSG are giving assurances that there'll be no name change for the ground, because it adds up to a lavish lick of paint job all told.
FSG look to me like they're kicking the can down the road for the next owners to deal with a full stadium rennovation. This build they have planned merely squeezes more corporate cash for operating expenses. Despite all the bollix from Werner about their Fenway Park experience, I dont see them ever being fully involved in Liverpool to that extent. At best, maybe get they'll get the bureaucracy of a full stadium revamp ironed out with authorities for new owners to pursue. It is a blatant attempt to get around FFP that's all.
Oh yeah, I see what you're saying.Of course but at the same time minimal redevelopment at maximum expense allows them to pile shitloads of non-existant costs against their FFP allowances.
