Gerrard and Henderson absolutley shabbite tonight.

Non existent.

Henderson did his job and covered well, provided the balls in to welbeck, rooney and sterling to carry on the attack. He isn't a player that is going to excite you but there is a reason why that his side felt a lot safer throughout the game then when taken off became exploited very easily
Gerrard on the other hand was terrible and took no criticism from pundits.

Henderson's a bit like what McCarthy is to us. No doubt he was terrible when he first signed but he's come on a lot in the last year. It was Gerrard who disappointed in midfield tonight, not Henderson.

I wanted to say he is like Mccarthy also but didn't want to say through fear of being shot, Henderson was never even that bad he was lumped in with Carrol and Shelvey and Downing, I also liked Shelvey also although Shelvey is vulnerable to making mistakes and lacks consistent form he has somewhat of an element of class to him but Henderson was always a good player they just payed way to much so they were expecting him to be a marauding midfielder but then people forgot how much they payed for him and let him play his game. I rate him highly and every team needs a player like him providing your team isn't full of world class players like real madrid and Bayern munich.

Henderson was doing the job of two men last night, I thought he was fine

Gerrard is the problem, Not a shock that when Henderson was banned Liverpool started to struggle

Henderson played well.

Gerrard is 2 years past being a quality player at that level. Horrendously anonymous and infact a liability. He should has been subbed for Wilshere who was actually excellent when he came on. Roy should show some balls and have a midfield of Lallana, Henderson, Wilshere, Sterling, and have Barkley behind Sturridge

Henderson was more effective than Gerrard by default, solely because of how dreadful Gerrard was. He had energy and athleticism so he put himself about and did fairly well.

Gerrard was quoted as saying previously that Henderson "was now his legs" in the new role Rodgers has given him. I thought the premise of this was that he could preserve energy to be the midfield anchor and set the passing pace. He did neither of those last night and only the mantle of skipper protects him from criticism it would seem. I haven't been impressed by his deadpan, lacklustre press conferences either as though he would rather be anywhere else...unusual for him as hes hardly camera/soundbite-shy. Maybe the tournament is one too many for him....though the next two games will tell.

I find it hard to support england and have felt this way for a few years now.

Before it was because the same players played regardless of form or if they were any good. Now its because half the team comes from them lot. I support the shirt not the player but its very hard when a move can literraly consist of passes from johnson to gerrard to henderson to sterling to sturridge all game!

Rooney taking stick for deserting his full, fair enough like like, but think how macarthy and barry cover their full backs in the same formation, think how often you saw gerrard or henderson cover the full backs, not once

Yeah but it's because they're all about 'dangerous possession'.
