For the second goal? Cahill was marking Sewer rat not Jags.
Even Carragher said the majority of the blame for the Uruguay winner should be shouldered by Cahill in his column today. He did as well attribute no blame to Gerrard.....of course.

It does look like Jags had the flight of the ball right, I guess shouting leave it wouldn't have worked as Gerard was trying to win the game on his own at that pointYep.
Two CBs. One goes forward to attack any ball the DM isn't getting. The other drops (or stays deeper at least) to pick up a runner. Very early lesson in defending that is.
The ball was left of centre, so that sides CB (Jags) should step forward to intercept. He can't know that Gerrard is going to attempt a header he was woefully out of position for.
Yep.

Of course RAWK does mawkish so well and with blinkers on as usual. This berk quoted the whole of Nature Boy by Nat King Cole then put this.....
Come home to the people who love you lad, the media and knob heads around this country want a victim and it looks like its gonna be Steve ( which dove tails nicely with the summer of anti love that will grow for Liverpool as we support Luis)
It will be hard for him to pack in England but better to give all his energy to the club and people he loves...and we love in return.
ps...I like the way his 'dove tails'....doesn't.

They were all crucifying him when he had a bad spell a couple of years ago. No doubt that thread got locked so it disappears from history and it never happened. Have they opened the Everton thread on there yet or is it still too soon after the City game?
Ha ... I don't think the Staff Nurse has been round with the medication trolley yet. This made me smile though....

It's a bleedin' disgrace. He's the country's captain and those having a dig are numpty cowards. They ought to be [Poor language removed]' ashamed of themselves.
The other side of this same coin though sees lots of Liverpool's fans never wanting any of their club's players to wear the white shirts either. That for me is nearly as bad as these twattish knockers.
When you see the [Poor language removed] that the Liverpool players have to put up with even before they can be shoehorned into the scapegoat role, it is completely understandable why some fans want our players to go nowhere near that rubbish e.g. all the stuff about Henderson being [Poor language removed] against Italy and should be replaced by pretty much anyone they could remember was in the squad.
Oh Dear.....Nurse....Nurse ???
Hoddle just now 'I'm looking straight down the camera now and saying to Steven Gerard please don't hang your international boots up yet'
All those divvies were crawling over this forum last season.
God bless Jose and Palace for blowtorching them off here for us.
