Re: Group D - 1st Costa Rica, 2nd Uruguay, 3rd Italy, 4th England

95% of all italian newspapers and sports papers main story coverage is based on prandelli and italy going out of the world cup. About 100% of back pages in the UK who were not even involved in the match and own national team sunk out with 1 shitty point on the same day are all about Suarez, what does that tell you?

However I think fifa's hatred of the uk media may work in his favour as they will purposely not buckle to any of the ridiculous 2 year ban suggestions.

Oh and by the way if, like me, you are disgusted with the clear vilification and demonisation of a player that has gone on for ages now, among hundreds of other things, do what I do and stop buying these [Poor language removed] rags each day and cease being such hypocrites.

Possibly that England went out last Thursday so yesterday's events were old news. However, Italy unexpectedly (probably) went out last night so the inquest has just started.

What I am disgusted about is how 'stain' can continually do this and people still want to defend him.

It's just the same tired old arguments that the same tired old plastic reds have wheeled out on many previous occasions when the rat has acted in an abhorrent manner.

The media, racism because he's South American, jealousy because he's good, dem Mancs, an FA conspiracy, Fergie. Rinse and repeat.

And now over to the Twilight Zone of RAWK......

Im sorry I don't have a long comment to add to this, and I almost find it funny that its "happened" again and obviously he has some mental issues when it comes to being in the "zone" while playing. But can you imagine the look on Brendans face when he saw/heard whats happened?

........Others questioned the transfer of bacteria through a players shirt and another countered by saying his Mum bit his Dad in an argument and he was in hospital for a month with MRSA. Scary isn't it....these people walk amongst us.

Why? I've seen many people use this leg break comparison.

Biting someone is intended to harm. A leg break is often by accident, and if it is clearly on purpose, then the perpetrator should be punished severely, just like Suarez should.

Also, every professional enters any match knowing that it could be their last down to injury. Malicious or not.

Not sure any enter a game knowing they might be bitten.

It'll reflect badly on the club regardless of what they do to some extent simply by association as a Liverpool player, that's to be expected of any individual representing a corporate body (disgraced MP or executive for example, individual action always has repercussions for the organisation). Uruguay have already blundered by leaping to his defence, LFC haven't made an acknowledgement yet. That is somewhat understandable, he's away from the club and they'll need to draft a corporate line on this which will probably mean legal and PR advice as to how to address the incident.

.

I agree with you, ste, with regard to everything that's gone before. I'm just saying that it isn't fair that the actions of a stupid repeat offender should reflect badly on his club. Unless it defends the indefensible.

LFC have been guilty of it before, but I can't believe that they'd do it again.

Once bitten.... Pun fully intended.
