ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Its difficult to be objective as it involves 'him' and 'them', but I'd be completely ashamed if one of our lads did this at a World Cup, I'd like to think most Evertonians would be. I couldn't take to the web to defend it, or stand there looking my mates in the eye and not admit that it was a grim blight on the team. His actions and their twisted defence of it in the most media saturated tournament in history is making LFC toxic on the world stage, I just can't get my head around their protection and blind justification of him. Can't wait to see the first official acknowledgement by the club.

There is. Not that it's right, but what I mean is that they are actions that 99% of people would do if provoked enough.

Who instinctively bites someone?

Fighters when considered in a life and death situation. Thats the situation when most biting occcurs. In these situations though, they differ in a large number of ways from what Suarez did on each of the 3 occasions, as he sought out his vitim. He created the close quarters in order to bite him. Biting as a human reaction would tend to be to release themselves from a close quarters situation.

I know mate, I didn't mean it literally...

Yes, so would I be ashamed, but I don't think it should reflect badly on LFC. A lot of its supporters, certainly, but not the club.

Unless it comes out defending him, of course.

Has Souness said anything yet?

Last time he bite Ivanovic Souness was on the Sky panel and went mental calling for all sorts of action to happen, love to hear what he's got to say over this.

From the BBC

Chiellini pulled himself up from the ground and went straight to the Mexican referee Marco Rodríguez - whose nickname happens to be Dracula - to protest. The Juventus defender pulled down the neck of his shirt to expose what, viewed later on photographs, appeared to be a bite mark.

Made me LOL.
