Suarez has a problem and FIFA and the FA have a duty of care to other professionals. Regardless of whether it was a bite, or anything, he has shown by repeating this same action that it is a completely random and spontaneuos reaction to the big occasion. I believe that this is a mental health issue, and should be treated as such. He has been through one treatment before by a highly respected memeber of the pyschiatric communiity, yet has proved himself wholly unable to prevent such actions. You would not hold a GA meeting in a bookmakers, or an AA meeting in the pub, the normal standard of treatment is to remove the trigger, which for Suarez seems to be pressure situations, and more specifically, football. He should be removed from the game, if not just for the safety of others it is for the sanity of himself and his family.
The issue I see here is that with his apparent complete lack of self control, he nor anybody can predict what his next lapse will be. Could it for example, be to bite the nose/ear/finger off an opponent? I certainly can't guarantee it, and more to the point, neither can he.
If ever there was a case for Sine Die, it is here.
