Was listening to the Anfield Index podcast earlier and one of them made a great suggestion (partially in jest) - we should take the £40 million or whatever we get along with Sanchez and go right over to Bill Kenwright and offer it to him for Barkley.
Not only would it get us a very good player it would be absolutely hilarious to watch the bloos handle the news that their pride and joy was coming across the park to play for "da redshite." Plus they'd only get around half the money to spend anyway.......
Anfield Index podcast indeed. Wonder if they wear full kit to listen in to that...yep, thought so

We have last years BT money. This years BT money and the remainder of the Fellaini and Anichebe money.
Roberto Martinez will laugh in their face.
WHERES THE SUNDRY MONIES BILL
he bites, he moves, would he really destroy his own countries chances at the world cup to force a move? you wouldn't put it past him
As delighted as I'll be to see the back of Suarez, if Sanchez comes in the other direction then he's arguably an even better player.
Not a chance, Sanchez isn't in the same league. That's why one is going to cost £60m+ and the other is going to Arsenal
Isn't the above more accurate?
A tug of war between Arsenal and Liverpool over the future of Barcelona’s Alexis Sánchez will determine how swiftly Luis Suárez realises his ambition to leave Anfield for Spain.
Arsenal are hoping to derail Liverpool’s plans to part-exchange Suárez for Chile international Sánchez and believe the player would prefer a move to London.
Liverpool, however, have been given no indication Sánchez would snub Merseyside and obtaining his services was an essential element of what were described as “productive and realistic” preliminary negotiations over Suárez’s sale to Barcelona on Wednesday.
Not a chance, Sanchez isn't in the same league. That's why one is going to cost £60m+ and the other is going to Liverpool as a makeweight...
