From the product description....

The full story of Liverpool FC's thrilling and incredible campaign to win their first Premier League title, and be crowned the champions of English football for the nineteenth time. The mighty Reds have become the great entertainers powered by the goals of dynamic duo Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, and driven on by their inspirational skipper Steven Gerrard. Including the triumphant double over fierce rivals Manchester United, and comprehensive, stunning victories over Everton and Arsenal. This two hour DVD features all the goals, all the games and exclusive interviews with the manager and star players.

Erm... I mean it's true.. as Obi Wan said, from a certain point of view, it's just missing a crucial piece of information.

LOL, they never cease to amuse. That weapon James Pearce claimed in an article a week or two back, that Luis had fired them to to brink of the title.

LOL, err, wrong James, you never won it, and nobody cares that you nearly did.

Did Luis already cost them the title last year?

Pondered this with kopites and they say no. But when he wasnt available they won 3 and then drew / lost. Now when he came back into the team he was scoring for fun so it is safe to assume he would have scored at least once.

So Swansea when they drew 2-2, surely he scores, they get two extra points and win the league? Not having him available meant that they were a striker down and therefore lacking an option to win the game.

Ergo, he was already cost them big time if they care to admit it.

Lovren is no better than Agger.

Probably right. It looks to be a case of not liking Agger personally, so he'll get moved on and they'll bring Lovren in - the transaction losing them about £10M.

I'd have to wonder too that if Lovren is £20-25M class why a club like United, desperate for CBs, aren't going near it. In fact, you'd could say the same for City where Kompany had a ropy season and Demichelis was pretty poor and now cracking on 34, or Chelsea who are rebuilding in that area.

Lovren was the best centre half in the PL last year for me. He was excellent in the MC also - good bit of transfer work their by Southampton.

20mill for a 24 year old on a 5 year contract - 4 mill a season - defo worth that for me, with a resale value.

Southampton cleaning out Liverpool this close season mind.

haha that's embarassing.

so much for liverpool being the so called best team in the world and best to play for, even the local rags have to get people in to help to try and sell them. sanchez will have way better offers if he's going.

i think liverpool need to understand other european clubs don't view them as this massive club that england recognises them as.

I don't buy the stats analysis that seem to be pushing this sale along. I can't say I've seen him and thought 'he is outstanding'.

For £25m you should be looking to get world class quality in. FFS, United are bidding £20m for Matts Hummells, on of the best CBs in the world.

Some stats I chanced upon, based on the top 5 European leagues, had him 5th best in the PL last year, 31st in Europe.........

They really are an embarrassing propaganda arm of LFC. Still, as long as they do Everton's owners favours by spinning for them I don't suppose it matters to those running Everton.

All codswallop. How a comparison can be made between a defender for a middle ranking club in England and top CBs across Europe is beyond me. It's apples and pears. It's like comparing PL stats of players with the stats for players of teams in an ale house league.

Oh I agree mate. Dont take much notice of stats and that myself, just happened upon them. He might turn out brilliant, might not, but either way, that is still a huge slug of cash for him at this point in time.

Agreed, he could turn out to be the kaiser MKII...and they do need to address defence. But the price quoted is a complete pisstake. Still, I suppose they made a rod for their own back in recent years paying top dollar on chance buys.
