And all of those together wouldn't come close to making up for his near goal-a-game record, so superb news.
That said, they'll end up a much better team for it if they sell the rat for 70/80m. Can easily buy a top striker for 30m who'll bang in the goals (or just get Negrado or Dzeko from City for 20m a pop) and that leaves with with a massive pile of cash to re-invest and replace the ageing Gerrard, for example.

Like Spurs after they sold Bale for a world record fee

As for Negrado/Dzeko, 1,neither would move to Liverpool, 2, city would not sell to a rival, 3, how do you work out they cot 20m

The Anfield redevelopment plans.....

Spurs invested it wrongly. Hopefully the RS would too, but Everton generally end up better after we sell a big player, so it does work.

Dzeko wouldn't be much more than 20m, and Negrado wouldn't be more than 30m, probably nearer 20m imo. Both want out afaik.

LOL, we've never sold the worlds best striker. It's truly delusional to think they'll get better. They didn't even need the dollar anyway...... BACKWARDS is exactly what they'll do this season. Vault me......

Who will they buy to replace a man that scored 30 goals and had 13 assists even after missing the first 8 games

They are selling a player who is in the top 5 in the world, Buying Llallana,Lambert and Loveren is on par with what Spurs did when they had the Bale money

Your also very naïve if you think Rodgers isn't already spending the Suarez money now, FSG will not spend 150m on new players

It's not though, is it? Lallana, Lambert and Lovren are proven Premier League players. What Spurs did it buy a load of players for top dollar who'd never played a minute in this league, no surprise only about two of them came out of the season with any credit at all!

I know he's spending the Suarez money, but with 70m coming in he'll still have 25m to add a top striker to the squad even after Lovren joins.

There mid table players selling for top player money

Look at who Chelsea have signed compared to Liverpool, I bet anything Utd,City,Arsenal all sign a better calibre of player than the ones Liverpool are after

They can not attract the top end players, They would need to touch lucky again like they did with Suarez, Look at Sanchez, Liverpool want him badly but it seems he want to go to Arsenal

They are not top four players but surrounded by better players could make the grade. We'll see.

I agree they cannot attract the top end players, praise the Lord.

But they've def 're-invested' the Suarez money better than Spurs did. IMO.

But won't the Americans want their share

On paper I'd say Spurs signings were better. On paper that is, they just didn't gel as well as expected.

I'd have Erikson over Lallana all day and Lamela is class.

Paulinho has been decent for them hasn't he?
