Apparently their spending so far has nothing to do with the Suarez sale. Hopefully not true but they have just got Champions League and made a hefty amount from broadcasting so it's feasible I suppose.

Just hope they spend it on crap.

I don't know the mechanics of footy transfers in detail, but presumably the deal is dependent on the medical from Barca's team, they know about the knee, so the deal could still collapse if they find anything dicey and the RS don't have leg to stand on? Barca must have checked on his knee before pushing this surely?

Medicals are nearly always the last thing to be done. Everything is dependent on that eventually. So terms, payment details, other players, could all fall apart.

Hes hardly finished, I seem to recall him scoring 2 goals with that "dodgy knee" against England.

ah yeah, the team who finished bottom of their group.

he was barely involved in that game, if it wasn't for slippard's terrible assist he would have barely been noticed

So your saying we should class those goals the same as his 4 against Norwich?

Actually thats quite harsh on Norwich.

there isn't much diffference tbh.

he scores bucketloads vs norwich, he scores bucketloads vs jagielka, he will be playing neither at barcelona.

They don't play poetry in motion football. Anyone could see quite a few of their goals were from playing modified long ball. If you want something resembling beautiful it was the ineffective tiki taka that Brenda scrapped last season. Who knows how they'll play next season?

Alan Hansen: Player and Pundit

Gary Lineker presents a personal and revealing tribute as Hansen joins friends, family and colleagues to look back at an illustrious career as a player and a pundit. Lineker also looks at the massive effect his friend and colleague Hansen has had on sports broadcasting. The so-called 'King of Pundits', he revolutionised the role of the TV analyst. Along with Andy Gray, he was responsible for transforming attitudes towards football punditry.

HAHAHA

Ha Ha Ha. High praise for a no mark, won nothing manager who got sacked by Reading.

They really are utterly beyond belief.

We don't fit into the natural order that has come to pass within football. Rodger's strives not to win a football match, or the league. He strives to create an artistic impression that will stay in our minds for generations. We are playing football that before now only our dreams could create. A special brand that this game has rarely seen.
You can keep the Mourinhos, the Allardyces and the Pulises, we have a true Impressionist for a manager, who is creating a footballing renaissance. Sculpting is footballing views onto the world. We will continue to stroke the ball around, like Van Gogh stroking a brush on an easel. We will continue to excite, frighten and destroy in equal measure. We will continue to rise from the ashes.
Let the pundits keep the logic, we have our dreams. That's all we need for this quest for footballing beauty.

They've turned bull [Poor language removed] into an art form that's for sure.

They're a long ball team
