Think we have every chance of doing just that. Not gonna say we definitely will, but it's certainly not a foregone conclusion that it won't happen. We'll see what the season brings.

I think you will realise just how much you depended on Suarez last season to drag you through games, I also think your route 1 football which worked last year will not be so effective this year and that your manager will found wanting tactically as he was against Chelsea and also palace. I think you'll be in and around the 5th to 8th mark next season.

I'd say we're as likely to finish above Liverpool this season as Man U are likely to finish above Arsenal - counting on us signing Lukaku or a striker of similar quality and Liverpool failing to bring in Reus or a similar class of player to go straight in to their starting XI.

As things stand now, I think Liverpool will be fighting us and Tottenham for position rather than Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Man U.

Lovren is an improvement on Agger, who can't defend, and Skrtel, who is a big Chernobyl-headed oaf, but £20m for him is just ridiculous.

It's never a good idea to write them off, but I really can't see them qualifying for the Champions League again as things stand.

The RS supporter at work (actually from Liverpool not, like most, a middle aged southern builder) tells me that they actually paid £27 mill for Lovren. Lumpy.
