RAWK.....

"Maybe Rodgers wanted more football-based thinking than algorithm-based thinking when it came to transfers. Eto'o, or a player of his calibre, makes sense if you want a season or two of known quality. You get experience, if not physical ability. It might be the experience that makes him an attractive option to the manager. Especially in the Champions League, where Lambert might struggle to find his rhythm if there is a need to throw a different forward than Sturridge on."

They do talk some crap don't they.........

I suppose that's one way of saying he's been knocked back by every top striker in Europe and South America.

Or maybe it is just a plain old scattergun approach to finding another striker, that has zero strategy and has gone from a big central striker like Bony, to a pacey wide forward in Remy, to a washed up old has been like Eto'o.

Algorithm ffs, he's really done them hasn't he? One half decent season and they've forgotten the cringeworthy documentary when the football world laughed out loud when it was shown on National TV that they'd hired footballs David Brent.

Continuing the mathematic theme, I'm left scratching my head wondering how such a clever man has won the square root of [Poor language removed] all.

The no mark divvy.
Come on Dave, be fair now.

Algorithms? The hell are they on about

It's football, not bloody maths. Is the player good?:

Yes - Sign
No - Don't sign

Imagine this being spoken in Stephen Hawkings voice...

Lukaku for me is an anomaly, his physicality makes him a threat but I just don't think of him as a very good "footballer". He'll do well for you, but to put him in the same class as Sturridge, who has to be with Aguero and RVP the outstanding strikers in the league, is wishful thinking.

I've never seen someone be so wrong so many times in one paragraph.
