ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I'd say it looks like they've been turned down by another big name striker because only a few weeks ago Brenda said this about Balotelli

Rodgers said. “But I can categorically tell you that he will not be coming to Liverpool

Looks like their desperate for anyone now as Rodgers realises replacing Suarez with big Lambo isn't quite enough even for a managerial genius like him and his tactical wizardry.

But that's just it: despite all the hullabaloo over not scoring in the big games, Suarez did something far more important - he put to the sword a lot of teams outside of the top tier...and there are far more games against teams like that than there are 'big games'.

And Balotelli wont be putting in the massive workrate Suarez did in the opposition half, that's for sure.

He's a handy player to have, yes. But as others have pointed out, for two of his three clubs he's hit roughly one goal in three games. He'd need to find the ratio he's had at Milan to be of any significant use to Liverpool. He couldn't do that in the PL with a City team bristling with players who could give him service.

can't argue with that. there's more nowrich's than man city's, as suarez proved last season.

you would think with all the money they've spent they should still beat 2/3rds of the teams, but they would need that special player(s) that cost £20m-£25m etc against the other teams to get top 4 to make the difference.

sadly for them i don't think they've bought the right players with their mass of riches to despatch 2/3rds of the table like last season - after all, there's a reason why soton only finished 8th last season.

Top players wont go there, so I can see why he's gone for the tier lower than that for reinforcements...its just the volume of them he's brought in that makes me laugh. It's a case of 'never mind the quality feel the width'.

The mans one of the laziest players ive ever seen, did you not see him at the worlds biggest stage the world cup the man Couldnt be arsed!.

I don't think he's lazy. I think he's an eccentric player who can sometimes be capable of some superb footballing skill but can also sometimes sulk and pout like an arrogant twerp

He's not a bad footballer though and when he's "on", he can be a joy to watch

He'd do well there I think. I don't want to run the risk to be honest
