The pitch wasn't a problem a few weeks ago when they beat Dortmund and won the pre season Anglo Saxon league, he's a cock in hand.

After tonight's defeat there'll be comments about fatigue to key players who played in the World Cup, if Paddy Power has a market for Brenda's post match excuses bang a tenner on it.

He comes across as a paranoid egotist most of the time but that's just childish. If he has had a problem with the pitch and it hasn't been resolved to his satisfaction or it's an ongoing issue he should keep it to himself and get it sorted rather than blurting the details at the first opportunity. How does he expect to command the respect of the players if he has to resort to public finger-pointing to keep the ground staff in check!

Ref for tonight is Michael Oliver from Northumberland. That's just on the other side of Greater Manchester, about 120 miles away.
