if he wasn't such a c nut i would say that chant was harsh ha.

does it still go around grounds, or has it lost it's way in amongst the slipped on his arse chant now?

It's brutal mate...

But he's never, ever won a League Title or done anything on the International stage so the only conclusion you can come to is that he was a tryer...he did try.

We can give him that.

Bitter barstewards...

Reds say sorry
Liverpool have apologised to Manchester United for the behaviour of their supporters during last month's FA Cup fifth-round tie at Anfield.

The club and Merseyside police conducted an investigation into disturbances, during which objects, including human excrement, coins and food, were thrown at United supporters in the Anfield Road stand. Liverpool's stadium and operations manager Ged Poynton has written to United admitting standards had "fallen short".

He said: "We deplore what certain fans have done. I class anyone who wants to throw a coin or something else when they are leaving as cowards. I am ashamed to admit in one case excrement was thrown. How low can you get? We did what we could, we tried to brush people down and compensated those involved. But I have never seen anything like it before."

Tensions between the rival clubs had been running higher than usual going into the match - won 1-0 by Liverpool - following the controversial end to their league clash at Old Trafford the previous month when United's Gary Neville celebrated in front of Liverpool fans after Rio Ferdinand had headed a late winner.

They just get worse and worse and worse....

Stevie Slippy serialised his autobiography in the News Of The World, which we all know was the Sunday Sun. Michael Owen also had a column in this rag. They have no standards. Never had never will do.

Bumper fun from Rodgers today...must be Bank Holiday Specials as hes doubling up on the excuses in The Mirror and of course, our local Anfield Bugle. The Mirror re not winning the title last season:
“People talked about the run-in and the pressure and all of that, but in the last 14 games we won 12, drew one and lost one - and the loss was so unfortunate,” he said.“We had actually played really well against Chelsea and then, just before half-time, Stevie slips. That has nothing to do with winning the title, it’s just a slip..I think we missed out on a little bit of luck towards the end" “Defensively we needed to be better, not in terms of organisation, but in terms of errors, we made too many individual mistakes." ...............Ah the real reason.
The Echo: re the first game against Southampton "The pitch doesn't help us at Anfield because the pitch is too slow. Its not good at all. But theres nothing we can do at this stage. The watering system is outdated so the speed of our game is sometimes slowed down compared to when we play on other pitches. The game was too slow for us"........At this stage ? One game in after the Summer break when clubs try and sort pitches out ? hahaha

No doubt they won't win the league. According to Brendan Rodgers since the Anfield tea-lady spilled some tea and Steven Gerrard slipped on it.

The only cups they're getting this year. Tea cups.

Sounds like he's hung GBH out to dry there. "We had it in our hands...but then Stevie slips...not that it had anything to do with the title being lost".

No. Why mention it then? Same as his 'our players tried to play Roy of the Rovers' jibe after the Palace collapse.

Wait until they're on a slippery slope this season. Little stabs in the back like that will be lurking in the back of those players' minds.

Notice the way he says they have no problems defensively apart from simple mistakes. No problems in the organisation he says, ie. nothing to do with me.

And the fact he is bemoaning their luck is ridiculous

Well judging by what I quoted earlier, hes getting his excuses in early complaining about his own bleedin' pitch affecting their style of play after one Summer game...they'll all be like Eddie the Eagle on their arses by the time the winter kicks in. Gerrard wont live that down ever now...bad enough teams supporters singing about it all over the place..now his own managers reminding him of it. So much for the master of psychology ...the Chimp Paradox master BR.
