ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I've been at Leeds festival. Do one. Balotelli for £16m is a very good deal in a footballing sense.

How? He's not proved he's worth £16million at any club he's been at so far. His one great performance was in a semi final that he's not lived up to since. Take away his pens which he won't have at Liberpewl and he's a one in three striker. Not too mention he's a nutcase who may upset Big Studger. So how is that a very good deal using actual facts?

Liability comes to mind...

I never get Pool supporters who slate Martinez. Roberto installed the blueprint at Swansea, the Jacks wouldn't be in the Premier League today if Roberto hadn't done the groundwork first.

Huw Jenkins (Swansea City Chairman) says that Martinez is the brightest and most intelligent football manager he's ever employed - I don't think RAWK have ever picked up on that either!

Don't know but they have a good history in recent years of buying decent strikers and making them great no matter how much of a nutter they are

hahaha Suarez and Torres were great before they played for Liberpewl mate. As their price tag proved. Just because you spend billions on terrible players doesn't mean when you get a bargain that you created them.

Bit like Mata when he moved from Chelski, player of the year and only Manu seemed to want him... what's all that about?

Nah. Jose played Moyes like a charm in that one. Made a bundle of cash as well. Milan took a loss on Balotelli. Now, you could say thats down to Liverpool refusing to pay "over the odds", but recent evidence would discount that.

Sturridge isn't great yet so we have Torres who was an extremely good striker when he signed and Suarez who again was an extremely good player before he signed. I don't think either improved necessarily but Torres found a great partnership with Gerrard and Suarez played well and then hit the ground running in a system that suited his style down to a tee.

Shall we go through all the other strikers bought in recent history because I very much doubt we could find one that was even decent before signing never mind went onto greatness.

No one else tried to jump the deal did they? And Milan didnt exactly put up a fight.

Suggests that he was pushed out.

Heard a few things about when he was at City.

Its going to be hilarious watching him destroy their "title challenge".

Crouch, Anelka, Baros, Bellamy, Cisse, Morientes, Keane, Carroll, Voronin, Ngog, Diouf...

All in recent years, and thats off the top of my head. Liverpool buy average players and make them s**te. Even the good striker they bought (Torres) they made him s**te.

Alonso, Mascherano and Suarez are the only recent players I can think of who have gone on to better things.
