ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Does that mean that when they play on a Saturday and Tuesday, then Sturridge will need to rest Sunday and Monday and therefore will not train before the Tuesday's game. Funny that the other LFC speed merchant, Sterling, who also needs 2 days rest, didn't get injured. Rodgers is going to be in a pickle when they play on the 26 December and the 28th December. Blaming Hodgson for sicknote Sturridge's injury is a pathetic attempt to get the excuses in early.

Rodgers has made a case for Stirling needing a break after matches too
......From The Times : "Fast players would have a second day’s recovery, while other players can work on that day. When you are that type of quick player like Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling and boys like Danny Welbeck, you need to recover them. Sturridge has worked so hard over pre-season and looked very fit and strong in our last game against Tottenham.”

Ah, the memories

Look at the guy under the CRY wording. The guy with a blue polo shirt on who shakes his head.

Obviously a toffee. He giggles as he faces away.

Great from the BBC:

  1. 16:56:
Chris Bevan, BBC Sport at AnfieldLiverpool v Aston Villa (17:30 BST)
"With Daniel Sturridge injured, the stage is set for new Liverpool signing Mario Balotelli today, with the maverick striker starting up front in his first appearance for Liverpool at Anfield since his £16m move from AC Milan.

"Liverpool's managing director Ian Ayre proudly revealed this week that the club generated more than £50,000 from 'Balotelli-themed shirts' on the day he signed for the Reds.

"How impressive is that for a marquee signing, though? With adult shirts retailing in the Anfield club shop at £49.99 and 'Balotelli 45' costing £15, by my maths that means around 750 were sold - not great for a club with an estimated global fan base of 70m..."
