Agreed. The've sold their soul. Old Trafford is a day tripper's paradise. Man Utd died some time ago. Sky United are doing OK.

But you're not prepared to separate Utd, who built up their money through league success and very savvy club marketing, from City/Chelsea who were given a shedload of money just like that.

I generally loathe Utd but I'll defend them a bit on this point.

During the first 10 years of the Prem they spent more than anyone else apart from Newcastle DESPITE having a once in a lifetime freak youth team come through. Plus I would say you are putting the cart before the horse when you say the money came from success - completely the opposite to me.

The youth team because successful, which brought along oodles of Premier League prize cash, as well as a burgeoning global fanbase. This was spent on players, and the machine rolled on.
 
Basel tip tapped it with speed through their defence , and midfield hope RM was watching as they were very entertaining with no slow build up and no prolific striker like we have in Lukarku !!! They were a different class to the red crap!

Not resident, and as he spouts only about football, he is so entrenched with everything RS that no one would think all Scousers are like him. All Liverpool fans morelike.

My misses cant understand why the prik hasn't had has nose sorted out bearing in mind the money he has made over the years I had to tell her that he is still waiting for planning permission.
