Quote from Mark Lawrenson:
"The Europa League is a nuisance for Liverpool. But at least now it is knock-out and as a manager Rodgers can decide on a round-by-round basis on what he wants to do, and view the Europa League two days before he plays each tie.
"There is a Champions League place at the end of it. That is not a factor now but that changes the further you go in the Europa League and also if the top four becomes less likely in the Premier League."
Why is it a "nuisance" for Liverpool and not any of the other teams in it?
Arrogant Yewtree bumwipe.

Todgers has however, in the midst of all his other early excuses/damage limitation for their failings, always made a play that the cycle of Champions League football games on top of domestic games has hampered his ability to progress, assess and even train his "new" players. The 'nuisance' is that he still has these extra Euro games but without the ego mania "marquee" CL games. The RS can marginalise the Europa all they like, but you can bet your sweet ass that they'll be treating it with respect when they play. Fickle as ....
