Terrible decision by Belgium to make him an automatic starter ahead of Lukaku, I think it might be a personal beef between the coach of Belgium and Lukaku because it was very clear who was the better player even during the world cup. Game changed as soon as Lukaku came on last time I watched Belgium.

The thing that most does my head in about the Belgium coach is that he hardly ever plays Mirallas and Lukaku at the same time. They know each others game very well and link up fantastically as proved by the assists each have provided for the other for Everton.

Yet he only played them together once over the whole of the World Cup. Lukaku was subbed on close to extra time vs USA and 3 mins later Mirallas found Lukaku with a lovely pass down the wing which sent Rom running through on goal and he then set up De Bruyne for the first goal. Next match he subbed Lukaku on at the same time as he took Mirallas off - mental.

Jamie Carragher has attempted to get past Liverpool’s disappointing Champions League exit by making a joke at Everton’s expense.
The Reds were relegated to Europe’s second-tier competition after Brendan Rodgers’s side failed to beat Basel at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Everton are assured of their place in the Europa League last 16 ahead of their clash against Krasnodar at Goodison Park tonight.

And Carragher joked that Liverpool would replace Everton on ITV 4 next year, suggesting Everton games are shown on the ground-hog day channel, UK Gold.
