Brendan Rodgers rejects talk of disharmony at Liverpool

It sounds like there might be some disharmony at Liverpool then.

The BBC missed his best line from that press conference:

Speaking at his pre-Bournemouth press conference on Tuesday, Rodgers confirmed there is discontent within the Liverpool squad but only as a consequence of the team’s dramatic downturn in results this season. He denied presiding over a squad divided by unrest.

“Our dressing room is very strong,” said Rodgers. “We are very fortunate to have a captain who is a strong leader in dressing room and that has been very important during my time here. Unrest is totally untrue. Of course we are unhappy at not winning games, these are competitive players who almost won the league last year and they won’t be happy at losing because they are competitive people. Our spirit is very strong and, once we get that break, we will show that.”

German national newspaper Bild is reporting this morning that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich will enter the race to sign Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling if they fail to sign number one transfer target Marco Reus from rivals Borussia Dortmund.
So far Liverpool contract talks with the 20-year-old have stalled after Sterling failed to accept the £70,000 per-week the club has offered to pay him.

Meanwhile Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for the young England international as a replacement for Gareth Bale who could well be on his way back to the Premiership with talk of Manchester United ready to pay £90 million for the Welshman.

Bild however is reporting that Bayern manager Pep Guardiola has asked his brother Pere who is the agent for Luis Suarez to approach Sterling and sound him out about a move to Bayern Munich.

I wouldn’t pay 50 pence for Raheem Stirling.

The only thing he seems good at is impregnating multiple women at the same time.

Only because he's paid stupidly

Brendan Rodgers must stay at Liverpool - Robbie Savage

Well in Robbie lad, keep it up!

Rodgers though..

Meanwhile, Rodgers is "relaxed" about speculation linking "talisman" Raheem Sterling with a move away from Anfield.
"Hopefully it is not going to be the case. We are trying to build something here," said Rodgers.
"We were on a path for a couple of years and we have had to come off that path since the summer having lost some players and have had to regroup."

You lost 1 player and said it didn't matter, then bought a load more you disingenuous cack wizard.
