ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Funny though a defeat against Bournemouth would have been, I'm much happier at the prospect of a protracted semi final where Brenda will undoubtedly pick his strongest team again only to be schooled by Mourinho once more.

Another moral victory to add to the collection.

The interviewer on Sky asked him about the draw pitching him against Chelsea.

He said "it doesn't matter who you draw at thIs stage".

Yeah right.

He was praying Blades came out the hat along with the RS.

Haha I might have given him that if it it was a one off semi final at a neutral venue, but it's the only 2 legged round in the competition, it matters alright!

Did I just hear on SSN that Rodgers has compared Raheem Sterling to Alexis Sanchez? lol

Once raheem has starred at a World Cup and starred for a team like Barcelona then he can make those comparisons, clown!!

They've 'turned a corner'.

Until they go crashing into a wall against Arsenal on Sunday.

I didn't watch them last night but heard that Sterling was very good? I suppose I won't really get an impartial response in here :D

Still laughing at the face of Rodgers live on SKY last night when they told him they'd just earned the right to face Chelsea twice. "It doesn't matter who we got" he splutters....even though Sheffield United were in there.

Ha Ha Ha.

Crestfallen.

They should also have told him that the second leg was at The Bridge....they usually spawn the chipped ollie that gives them the second leg at home "for one o them dead special Annie nights with all the singin' an th' flags an tha". Not this time Pearly.

They have beaten the mighty Bournemouth second team in the worthless cup. The absolute cringe that they seem to view this as some sort of worthwhile trophy displays just what a smalltime club they now are. Big clubs like United, Arsenal etc play their reserves in this competition, and get knocked out to teams like MK Dons without caring. It shows their small time mentality really.

Rodgers has put his strongest team out when they needed a rest before the far more important game against Arsenal at the weekend. It shows how paranoid he is, and how he lacks confidence in his fringe players that he didn't give them a chance. Can, Lambert etc must be chomping at the bit to get a chance.

This is one weird post.

Far from being a "worthless cup" it is a piece of silverware which I and many others round these parts would love Everton to win.

Is our club "small time"?

And for the record, the "Worthless Cup" is currently held by the reigning league champions.

Would that EFC could achieve such a double.
