ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Sterling gets two goals against a championship team and he's suddenly comparing him to one of the games best players and turning him into a striker, there's no wonder his agents are looking for more money.

If the benchmarks suddenly scoring against lower level teams reserves then their truly fecked long term with him there, once again he's making comments that will come back and haunt him in the not to distant future. If this is them back to normal and he tinkers with the team against Arsenal and they get beat they'll turn on him big time, if he doesn't swap it around Gerrard is going to be exposed and so are his back 3 and wingbacks.

Baffling. It was only 3 days ago Sterling missed chance after chance and they lost 3-0 at United, now he's their answer to Sanchez. It's a strange game.

They seriously seem to think that Stirling is the answer to their striking problems. He is too lightweight and not anything like a clinical enough finisher to perform that role. He excelled when all the defenders attention was on Suarez and Sturridge but is not up to it in their absence. He remind me of Danny Cadamateri. If Gnashers starts playing him through the middle it will burn him out.
Mertesacker will snap him like a twig

All of which just goes to show how correct Dave was when he proclaimed that he wanted Citeh to win at Goodison last May.

They would have had to cut down half the Amazon Forest to print the tomes they would have done had they actually won sommat.

Not related to you personally, but we've been calling Besic the next Roy Keane because he put a few slide tackles in against one of the worst teams I've ever seen grace the Premier League. Then there's selling Baines because Garbutt put in one decent shift.

We're both pretty guilty of it as fans at the moment.

No we havnt. Been saying he has a good future, and looks a sound player, and if he stays around could be some of the best £4m we have ever spent. RM havnt even been mentioned either.

But you are right in your central point. Players these days are either turbo gash or Roy of the Rovers!

You need to read back the Besic thread over the last week mate! lol

Yeah I remember after the Porto preseason game someone claiming he'd be a £20m player next summer and took offence to me telling him to calm down. Luckily there few and far between amongst our fans but they do seem more the norm with the crazies across the park.
