ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

No way they finish 4th, especially not as they've not got two games a week with the Milk Cup semi-final looming. They've been very lucky on this run which is bound to run out soon (ahem!), a couple more injuries and they'll be stuck with Sakho, Toure, Can, Lambert and Borini playing for them.

They arent very good and if you look at this 'good run' they've supposedly been on it doesn't stand up to scrutiny. It's 4 wins from 5. One to a team in the 4th division, a very lucky win against Burnley, a scrappy win against Sunderland, a draw against Leicester and a goodish vicotry against Swansea (who basically rolled over for them).

They're not very good and have no chance of getting top 4.

We've got a good chance of winning our next two games, they've got a chance of dropping at least 4 points from their next two (villa are thei bogey team and downing and carroll will want to make a point). Then it's the derby. We win that and we're just three points behind.

They then have Spurs, Southampton and City. If they all play to their capability then the RS could get 3 points or less. Admittedly we play Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal so catch up could be tricky!

Nevertheless, a couple of astute signings and more luck on the injury front and I'm still confident we'll finish above them.

Why do they always say we've "won without winning" when we get decent results (i.e. drawing against them at anfield or city yesterday)? Where does this particular insult originate from?

It's a painting in some pub where Moyes is described as a winner even though he hasn't won anything. Tbf, the painting was beyond daft; it's just that they're so devoid of genuine wit it's all they ever say.

It's honestly the least funny football forum on the interwebs, they're a freakish humourles bunch that when they try to be funnny it just never works.

And, as has been pointed out, they're more prone to celebrating non-wins. Witness the embarassing giddiness that resulted from their loss to Real Madrid.

Seriously? This is the club that will forever be mocked by the country for celebrating winning the league title a month too early yet that's their stick to beat us with hahahaha. They're great.

Bridcutt commits 2 identical offences - harsh yellow cards for both but understandable and consistent
Coutinho commits 2 identical offences - harsh but understandably yellow cards but NOT CONSISTENT.

What beggars belief is that the ref must know he has to be consistent but yet he isn't - like evening things out in the final minutes of a game is not consistent either - nor is Atkinson's failing to book Fernandinho for a blatant body check on Naismith yesterday.

Thanks, i genuinely didn't know that's where it came from. That poster is a bit crap tbh but it's a pretty childish insult, especially after they got battered by city earlier in the season and were humilated in the CL.

I like the way he appears to have won the base to a trophy. Hats off to Davey Moyes, winner of the base of the champions league trophy!

The pub that's in (Taff's Tavern, Derby Lane, Old Swan) was set on fire in the summer, is still closed and I think that mural has been destroyed as a result. The arsonist set himself on fire, and was caught still on fire by the police.

The nob.
