When he is lauded as their 'moral compass', they are effectively branding THEMSELVES as scum.

Anyway, you do realise that Mignolet's save meant that our fans were not to be accused of spitting on the Hillsborough plaque.

Lots of RS fans weeping into their crisps on facebook, with that pic of the LFC old guy being helped by a young Evertonian. Very nice. Here's a challenge for the Kopites: find a pic showing an RS helping a Blue. Go!

Not seen the pic

Naismith laughing in his face as Henderson took two steps back was probably the highlight of the game. He's a typical shitehouse footballer who's all mouth on no bottle, no wonder he's going to be their captain when Gerrard moves clubs.
henderson.webp

I hope Steven Naismith has had his tetanus jabs up to date with this spit merchant in his face. What a horror Henderson is...we'll see how brave he is when Gerrards pissed off to the States.

I love how the Kopites seem to think everyone is scared of Henderson. Naismith grabbed his shirt, Henderson had this delayed hardman impression when slippy turned up and Naismith was surrounded. Naismith laughed at him, Henderson backed off 10 yards then started giving it large again. Naismith stood his ground throughout the whole piece, was completely unperturbed by the whole scene and would have flanneted the beaut had it not been on the football pitch.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone as nonplussed by a show of aggression than Naismith was of Henderson. The fact the kopites think all of his play acting makes him some sort of hard case is laughable. Besic will finish him next season.

Just skimming through RAWKs reaction to the Derby...a dogs breakfast of attacks on Besic, Martinez setting up negatively against them, attendance below capacity etc etc

They're 7th in a four horse race and humiliated in Europe....having watched Gnashers spend £300M.

This generation of Liverpool supporters are wonderful value. More of this please RAWK.

Brendan Rodgers has warned Raheem Sterling’s advisors that Liverpool will not be held to ransom over a new contract and fears an excessive salary could jeopardise the player’s future.

The Liverpool manager claimed Sterling has been offered “an incredible deal” for a 20-year-old, one that rewards his development into the team’s finest player this season, and gave the clearest illustration so far that the protracted contract saga stems from a failure to agree terms with the forward’s agent, Aidy Ward. Ward is currently in the process of leaving Impact Sports Management to start his own company but, while that has complicated finalising a deal, Rodgers stressed Liverpool will not bow to the demands of any player.

Sterling is under contract at Anfield until 2017 and has yet to sign a new deal despite negotiations opening in October. Club captain Steven Gerrard last week urged Liverpool to agree terms with both Sterling and Jordan Henderson “before it is too late”, with the vice-captain’s current deal due to expire in 2016. And Rodgers commented: “Steven is relaying a message that the club obviously wants as well. Both players are very, very important for the future and the club recognise that and I only hope as the manager that it will be resolved very soon.

“What the club has offered (Sterling) is an incredible deal for a young player. I have spoken to Raheem a number of times. He is very happy here and you see that in his game. What he has been granted at this football club is an opportunity. We see that with lots of young players they are getting the opportunity to play here and they get rewarded for that.

“But we are certainly not a club that is going to give out way way above what a player is worth at a certain time of his career. It is not a case of giving any player, and I am talking generally here rather than just Raheem, what they want. We want to reward our best talents, they are a big part of our future and we are confident that will all be hand and resolved soon.”

@Eggs, agree with you that Lucas playing in the team has been a big part of their recent improvement in form, think they are going to really miss him if this injury is true.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/09/lucas-leiva-liverpool-thigh-injury
Lucas Leiva is to undergo a scan on a thigh injury on Monday amid concerns at Liverpool that the influential midfielder could be sidelined for at least one month. The Brazilian was replaced by Joe Allen in the 16th minute of Saturday’s Merseyside derby at Everton after suffering another thigh problem.

Lucas had missed the FA Cup replay win at Bolton Wanderers last Wednesday with a similar injury and was risked at Goodison Park despite not being 100% fit and being unable to train. He could now miss a demanding period of Liverpool’s season should scans confirm the club’s fears on the extent of the injury.

Saturday’s strain is in a similar area to the injury that forced Lucas to miss the FA Cup tie but believed to be a fresh problem. He would miss Premier League games against Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Manchester City if ruled out for four weeks plus the Europa League meeting with Besiktas.

Lucas has played a crucial role in Liverpool’s impressive improvement since November and in the 3-4-2-1 system employed by manager Brendan Rodgers. Liverpool last lost a league game that the midfielder started on 20 September, away at West Ham United.
