ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I wouldn't pick Sturridge anyway, there's a few ahead of him in the queue now IMO.

Pushing England's soon to be leading scorer and captain out wide in the prime of his career was the biggest mistake of Roy's career and accommodating Sturridge cost us big time.

Agreed. We would have got out the group if Rooney had been on the chances Sturridge had. Imagine you're the Italian defense and you see England's one world class player on the wing and Sturridge in his place? You're absolutely laughing. Then you see Sterling making his debut in a position he'd not played for England ahead of the same woeful Hendo Gerrard axis Italy had already schooled 2 years earlier.

Amazing though that despite Sturridge's misses, Sterling's complete no show, Henderson being light years out of his depth against Pirlo (again), and Gerrard playing through balls to Suarez, they still managed to get the media to blame it all on Jags and Baines. If only Terry and Cole had been picked we would have won it implied some of the press. Hodgson's biggest mistake was selecting anyone from Liverpool to play for Enhland as they are genuinely a class below international standard. Henderson Lallana Lambert Flanagan should not even have a cap between them. Then you remember Martin Kelly went to the euros ahead of Jags before Cahill's injury. Jesus.

Im sure Hodgson has noted the Lourdes like recovery of Sturridge. With his ego, he'll be biting his lip a bit about missing the England call up....and lets face it hes hardly pulled up trees this season with the RS anyway. Lallana's career has gone backwards since he joined the RS so his England ambitions seem to be on bricks at the moment. Lets face it though, Sturridge could easily pull up again after half an hour at The Emirates and all it will have done is put the spotlight on the past hysterics of Rodgers over him and accelerate the latter's gobs**te rating.... if indeed that could possibly go any higher..

Liverpool crisis club.

Watch this lot go into meltdown if they get turned over at Arsenal today.

That's the problem though, just as you think crisis Anfield will get into full flow they'll get a gift of Arsenal or a referee and it will all be about how they can still get second.
