ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I would not be in the least bit surprised. As was pointed out earlier, he has the most blatant and regular propensity of throwing players under buses and allocating blame after a loss. I've never met the man, but the rank smell of self-important douchebag permeates every inch of his being, and I could easily imagine it alienates his players.
What gives it away. The false tan and new teeth or his choice of artwork in his gaff

Their transfer record over the past few years is baffling. A lot of times clubs sign players that seem like a good fit at the time, but dont turn out great, or they take a gamble on some cut-price player with potential. Their transfers immediately don't make sense. I feel like a monkey with a sheet of transfer-listed players from European leagues could assemble a better squad with the same budget. Almost like someone involved is sabotaging them.

Is someone on their transfer committee a blue?

To be fair, it looked like they were looking to deepen the squad a little bit. I thought Lallana, while massively overpriced, would be a good squad player for them. I thought Lovren(!) would be a little better than what they had too. Moreno, Can and Markovic were all young, and fitted in with FSG's clear preference for sell on value. I think the Ballotelli signing was where it all started to look a bit strange, particularly after Rodgers had said he didn't want him. He's a decent player in the right system, but he looked massively unsuited to fill the Luis Saurez shaped hole. In retrospect, the thing they didn't buy was one or two genuinely top class players. They fleshed out the squad, but didn't get a gamechanger. I, for one, have to admit that I thought they would be better than they were, but I'm glad I was wrong.

Choose your favourite piece of kopite baiting in today's papers

1 - Henderson turns down new 80 grand a week contract

2 - Rodgers facing dressing room revolt after accusing players of not trying

3 - Brenda admits they will struggle to attract big names next season

Hilarious reading this morning... reap what you have sowed Brenda

Talking of attracting players with Champions League football on offer is bound to get the bang average squad thinking "if we do make top 4 he'll be replacing us" and hence we have the reason for the decline. No one wants to be Johnsoned.

The Fraud hands his excuses in ahead of another failure next season.

I loved this bit though: “As a manager, not that long in the game, it’s been great for me up to this point, learning about the dynamics of everything."

Ha Ha Ha Ha. How pathetic a statement is that? He's been a manager for 7 years...four seasons in the PL and three of them at Liverpool.

An utter charlatan fighting tooth and nail for his job and humiliating himself in the process.

The rs have wasted a lot k money, they are lucky when it comes to strikers to be fair. Suarez was a amazing buy, what this Roy buy?. Torres was another class buy. They do seem to buy a lot of crap for some reason. Find it all strange on the amount of crap they buy every year.
