I love his "revised targets" mantra.

..poor playing surface, with the rugby probably. But for that he;'d have won the Championship and then the PL.Oh not just the players. Anyone and anything other than good old me.
You look at their team, and it's impossible to see them finishing in the top 5 without officials on their side - I haven't seen them all, of course, but I'm not convinced they'd be in the top half of the table this season without the refs as they are. I'd have to examine footage of various games to get some sort of idea.
It appears the cat burglar has been caught by the very man that was was trying to catch him
is that him bemoaning nobody wants to sign for them with no CL, or is him saying that his 'top' players now want to move to bigger clubs?"Liverpool is a phenomenal club players want to play for, but players want to play at the top level," said Rodgers.
"If you are not in the Champions League it makes it difficult for you."
Not sure how true this is, it is the Mirror after all

Brendan Rodgers is facing a major dressing room crisis at Liverpool.
The Anfield boss called a meeting after training at Melwood yesterday and accused several players of not playing for him.
Some senior players spoke up angrily against Rodgers as they were left incensed at the accusation.
Some have been left disaffected in recent weeks and now Rodgers is facing the biggest test of his reign at Anfield.
Not to mention he often takes all the credit for a win. How many times have you heard him say that it was his tactical change at half-time that won them the game.I would not be in the least bit surprised. As was pointed out earlier, he has the most blatant and regular propensity of throwing players under buses and allocating blame after a loss. I've never met the man, but I the rank smell of self-important douchebag permeates every inch of his being, and I could easily imagine it alienates his players.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers admits failure to qualify for the Champions League will make it more difficult to attract top quality signings.
