ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Until they lose to Newcastle on Monday and everyone over there starts hitting the panic button again.

Looking forward to that (and if they actually get knocked out of the FA Cup by Blackburn, that will make my day and them some).

I'm still expecting at least one whole week between now and the end of the season of 'we're back, the cup is ours and we could still get second its on!'. It will probably happen after two jammy wins over Blackburn and Newcastle coupled with one of the Manc teams losing.

One of their most annoying traits is spinning a routine home win into something equalling winning the World Cup final. A Blackburn win and a scrappy draw to Newcastle and we can put the shrieking hystericals back in their cave for another season.

Jordan Henderson remind me of the headless chicken routine Tommy Gravesen used to do, lots of running around and closing down.........
- minus the passing
- minus the tackling
- minus the ability to grab a game by the scruff of the neck
- minus the terrifying stare tommy possessed
- minus the all round quality gravesen had

Im not sure if this is a dig at the faux hard man or just the fact im miss our festa look a like.

I don't think even the most optimistic of us would think that such a depleted Blackburn team can do a number on these tonight, but I still harbour some deep hope. At least take it to extra time, make their legs wobbly for the weekend.

Yeah, I can't see them losing tonight

Shame really, as the resulting Meltdown should they actually lose would be glorious

Who knows though, maybe Villa will do them in the Semi-Final?

In a one off game, it could happen

Don't forget the heroic loss against real madrid

If villa are safe by then they'll have a free swing at the semi. Would not be the walkover Liverpool fans think it will. I'm sure the refs will be under instructions to arrange the dream final but hopefully Benteke will down them as usual.
