"Stop tugging it...you can't have it! Stop!"

"That's not what you said last night..."
Stretch it a bit further Stevie so I can get my fist in....

This loon is fast becoming the biggest joker in the prem! The constant in the ref's face, taking every single dead ball, walking about shoulders back trying to look hard, dead ball posturing, pens.. I could go on and on. He's trying to become what I call a 'fan player' looks like he's permanently in action while in reality doing very little, but appeals to idiots and commentators. Time will find this blert out.
Suits them down the road to a tee

I really hope they give the ridiculously over hyped Henderson a big contract and free run of the place.

I honestly can not believe how average he is, this is bordering on one of there biggest ever mistakes.

It was only a couple of years ago that the Fulham were chasing the 20 million man when he was offered to them as a 4 million make weight in the Sigurdsson transfer.

He is basically a box to box meathead. In fairness he has become quit good at that. A slightly less good version of McCarthy as it were.

What makes me laugh is he is taking all the corners and set pieces now. He really is trying to become the new slippy G and it's embarrassing. His corners are awful and he is a big d who should being the box attacking them.

It would be great to see them hand him 100k per week. When Rodgers gets finished the new man will be lumbered with him then.

If they finish 5th and win The Cup, that's a good season for them in the long run

Some of their more deluded fan base and ex players may cry fowl, but that's a good season

I'd windmill if Everton could manage that sort of end result

Christ, I'd take 15-10th and The League Cup FFS

I think the exact opposite mate. Anything outside of the top 4 is a huge failure for them and an FA Cup win will only paper over the cracks. They are a million miles off the top teams and every season they are out of Europe makes that gap further. There season was all about securing top 4 and showing last year wasn't a flash in the pan. They have failed in that regard. Fluking an FA Cup won't change that.

the one question i am sure no liverpool fan would answer is this.

They win the F.A cup this year, their captain and general major infleunce leaves and some players like ballotelli/lambert/toure/stirling could leave as well.

where do they go from there realistically? They will be relying on Henderson for leadership and having to rebuild the team for the third time in three years, but without slippy to keep new players in line. It is a very scary (to them) situation they could find themselves in yet how many of them would pass that question off as 'we'll win the league' or top 4 comments.

I think this is the point. Lets not kid ourselves the FA Cup was priority number 4 or 5 to them at the star of the season.

They have become a mid table side like ourselves. The top players give them a swerve. They had a chance this season to show, by keeping themselves in the top 4 they are a champions league club to potential players. They have blown that now.

There is a reason why players like Sanchez wouldn't even consider them if a side like Arsenal came in. An FA Cup win isn't going to change that. They have blown their big opportunity.

Any season where you qualify for Europe and win a Cup should be considered a good season IMO

Whether it's Champs League or Europa

You've still finished high in the table and have another pot in the trophy cabinet

You are thinking of the mind set of a club like Everton to be fair though mate. Yes it would be brilliant for us. For your Chelsea's, Manchester United's, City's etc that is never going to be good enough.

What's laughable is that Liverpool have lost their big club attitude and are happy to slug it out with the also-rans. It's what they are now.

Nah, maybe us or even Spurs but City, United, Chelsea & Liverpool require top 4 as a complete minumum after what they have spent.

I'd be amazed if they win the cup. A one off game against Villa on neutral territory is a toss up, imo. If they do beat Villa a team like Arsenal is likely to be in waiting. They'd start as overwhelming underdogs for that given the number of matchwinners Arsenal have.

The one big disadvantage they have is Rodgers. The smell of loser drifts off him. He's a no mark and will always be a no mark. He's got two games to salvage his Anfield career. If they win nothing this season, that'll have been (in the three seasons he's had there) 12 competitions he's had Liverpool in with nothing to show for it after spending £250M.

People talking about Martinez needing a good summer/autumn to come...it'll apply equally to Gnashers if they dont pick that cup up in May.
