Mario Balotelli celebrated Sergio Aguero's goal on Twitter

The Liverpool striker celebrated Sergio Aguero’s opener for former team Manchester City with a Tweet that read: “Yeeeees city @aguerosergiokun !!! 1-0 OLD TRAFFORD...Stand up and shut up.”

Unfortunately for the Italian, United replied with four goals as they stuffed City 4-2 to further secure third place in the Premier League.

Balotelli himself has enjoyed previous notoriety at Old Trafford. In the 2011 he scored a neat goal while playing for City and celebrated by revealing his now infamous “Why Always Me?” printed t-shirt.

Please rename this the RS Boom Bust Cycle.

It only afflicts half of the city.

I find it absoloutly hilarious how Sterling was 10 times better than Barkley and now he isnt even as good as Ibe. They are not fickle like some fans but just a absoloute joke.
They think its all about the money, sterling has said he wants to wait until the end of the season, thats not money but to see were they finish in the league and what the future holds in the transfer market. Of course to Liverpool they are the bestest klub in der werrrlllddd so nobody wants to leave the mighty reds.
As for Henderson the captain elect of the self entitled best club in the world, he should be asking for £100,000 to reflect his status, especially if Sterling does sign for £120,000 or whatever he asks for.
They will also eventually turn on FSG who are stopping these silly contracts for £100,000+ until they are in the champions league on a consistent basis.
They chased Agents hicks and Gillett for not splashing the cash and now FSG will tighten the purse strings.
Finally Brendan Waffle Waffle Rodgers seems to have a huge Ego that is making things worse at the club, first carragher is allowed to leave, now gerrard wants out, sterling is unsure and Mario refuses to play for him. Rodgers wants full control with nobody in his way (all managers should have full control IMO but not this fraud). If you spend £100m you should win the league but now in his eyes this young liverpool side is a work in progress (bearing in mind he has spent £250m).

Keep it up Liverpool we are thoroughly entertained.

Liverpool's injury jinxed Daniel Sturridge urged to push through pain barrier by Brendan Rodgers"
edited
"A player will never be 100% fit, they’re always carrying something. He just needs to find a way to, physically and mentally, keep himself as fit as he can"
Brendan Rodgers is resigned to his striking woes being stretched out until the end of the campaign, as he admitted he won’t see the best of Daniel Sturridge until next season.

But the Liverpool manager reckons Sturridge must find a way to play through the pain barrier if he is going to deliver on the huge natural talent that made him of the deadliest goal-scorers in the Premier League last year.
He revealed though, that his job now is to wring as much from 25-year-old Sturridge as he can until May, in the hope that, even at less than 100 per cent, the England forward can still inspire the Reds to FA Cup glory and a late push into the top four.

Asked about the forward’s confession he won’t be firing properly until next season, the Reds boss said bluntly: “I knew that when he was first coming back. It’s a long time out.
“When you’re out for that length of time, it maybe takes you the same amount of time to get back again. The key for him was to get back and be fit, but he needs a good pre-season - a total run - and hopefully he’ll be fine for next season.

More shameless hypocrisy from Rodgers. Whats happened to the highly technical programme he personally perfected for Sturridge...you know the one that caused ructions with England...the one where he simply had to have a system of recovery days to gain maximum performance from him....the one England weren't complying with and causing him injuries ???? Oh that's right yeah...it didn't work....so lets just flog him to bits on the pitch towards another lay-off. Another analytical approach by the master coach.
