why are they saying on that site its the longest gap since the 50s three years that they have not won a trophy?
they won the lg in 1966 then it was 1972 before they won again wasnt it, might be wrong like

I think it is the first 3 years of a managers reign. Rodgers is the first since the 50's to not win a trophy within his first 3 years of managing the club.

shankly was there manager between 66 and 72 , didnt get sacked, em resign till 74, but your might be right about the in there first three years hope he goes for a new record next year

I read an excellent comment from a Liverpool fan last night (I recall not where) but it was actually very good.

She was most aggrieved at Rodgers' constant lauding of LFC's 'history' and was well aware that it was a tactic to keep the fans onside. She was very strident in her views that Rodgers has only just arrived and has played no part whatsoever in the history of the club.

He struts around like Foghorn Leghorn like he is part of the fabric of the club. Before he arrived, it's fair to say that most of us had seen LFC play more times than him.
