Spent much of today being amused thinking of this photo...
Just picturing them dejectedly leaving Wembley in their silly costumes.... sitting on a train for 3 hours holding their flags & not speaking a word...getting home, greeted by an embarrassed wife/mother whose face just said "I told you so".....

Bet earlier yesterday they even had super hero names for themselves....Anfieldman & Kop boy, Captain Liverpool & Red Rider....

It's a kid, pack in the stick. C,mon now.

I wouldn't pay half that for Henderson. He's similar to Gerrard, but without the ability to pass, dribble or shoot.

Hahaha. I hate coming to the defense of the gurning idiot, but he's not a bad player to put beside an out-and-out defensive midfielder. He has a good strike and some decent link up play, with all the referee-baiting, hallmarks of a posturing Liverpool captain. That being said, he's not worth as much money as they're throwing at him and he's absolutely nowhere near Slippy G's level in his prime, nor will he ever be.

....and he's fab in the Nivea advert.

....if Henderson does sign a big bucks contract and they have a poor season next time around he could become a real hate figure for their fans.
if the rumours of the owners cutting the wage bill down are true(looking to cut £30 mill) there will be a few leaving to pay for the likes of this.

.....somebody posted a list of their player salaries on here a week or so ago. From the look of that it will take some time to reduce, especially with the the amounts being paid to those who have recently signed and offers on the table for Sterling and Henderson. From what I recall, Balotelli and Sturridge are £100k + whilst Sako, Lalana, Lovren et Al are all around £80k.

Slippy and Johnson leaving will help the cause but others appear ready to step into their salaries.
