ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They must feel so cheated. Absolutely noone in football knew that Sturridge had a dodgy injury record.

Sturridges injuries are nothing to do with his body, its all in his head. Every club he has been at, he's got injured when the pressure is on. At Chelsea, he'd only ever play if there was no others strikers available for what ever reason, then get injured. He'd then continue to say he's 100% fit when they are all available. Look at last season, the pressure wasn't on him, it was on Suarez, he got injured less. Now he has to prove himself without Suarez, injured again. The lads a bottler, at a bottler team, managed by a bottler manager.

Hahahaha......SuperMario

Transfer fee: £16m

Weekly wages: £90,000

x 36 weeks at club = £3.24m

TOTAL SO FAR: £19.24m

In 16 Premier League appearances:

Goals - 1 or £19.24m per goal

Shots on target - 20 or £962,000 per shot

Shots off target - 16 or £1.2m per shot

Chances created - 10 or £1.924m per chance

Passes - 241 or £79,834 per pass

Stats courtesy of Opta

So he's (more-or-less) paid to make one (completed?) pass per game. lol

He'll be canned........

That's a lot of bottles.

He's going. I think he is gone once the season has ended. These last few weeks have probably taken their toll and the hierarchy have to be looking at moving him on. Surely !

It's funny seeing Rodgers squirming, struggling for positives and making a nob of himself in interviews but you just know the planets will align perfectly and they'll get a decent european coach in with a bit of pedigree. The non qualification for next seasons CL might factor in but with managers, i don't quite think it plays a part as it does with top players. They'll throw money at a name to get him in.

God-damn they've all turned on Brenda fairly quick.
I think the majority are beginning to see that he's not the prime lamb they had all wanted or perceived, but rather a rancid piece of mutton.

He may spout about his long term play; he may request more dough if he is to fulfil his philosophy, yet the level-headed fans know it's all talk.

Regardless of his personal qualities, Suarez was and still is an immense football. He single handedly inflated their entire prospects last season!

Rodger's couldn't, or wouldn't, see this though. Instead, his clergy and congregation lapped up the hype and heralded their own 'immense' abilities.

Brenda's signings have been questionable at best; some are utter dross. He's had cash serious last season and spunked it on mediocrity.

Mario from the SNES generaton... Ricky from Kirkby... Boring-ini... The Welsh Xavi... Lazar 'Better than the rest' Marković... Dodgy Lovren.

Now he's scuffling back to his notorious 'transfer committee' like Oliver (with puppy dog eyes) mumbling, "Please Sir... I want some more!"

"I thought the plan was to buy prospects and build with youth? Isn't that the philosophy?", asks the FSG board in a confused and annoyed tone.

"Well yes... that's what I wanted them to think. It was really just a ploy! Really we need marquee signings... They all want to play for me"

"If you give me more dough, say £500m (small change) I'll definitely do it next year. I will have Ronaldo... Messi... I will even turn Mario into Pele"

In all reality, I wouldn't trust Brenda with £5 and a request to come back with a pint and some nuts, as he'd buy some fetid cocktail and no nuts.

If you sent Rodger's to purchase Ronaldo, he'd come back with the fat one and think he's boss.

Yet he believes that his transfer committee will trust him with more dough to make amends for his awful past history. God I actually hope they do!

Since Liveprool last won the title they have bought 190 players at a total of £770m. I guess that will be 200 and nigh on £900m before soon.

Funny enough though, I think they are realising that Rodger's is doing some almost irreparable damage. They've lost their much loved soul.

Sooner rather than later their players who provided some form of class and grit (Gerrard et al) will be gone, and replaced with garbage.

Great response that. Completely agree, but lets be fair - they've been buying dross for longer than Brenda has been in charge -

Seriously speaking though, lay off Rodgers as he has to stay. You don't want them doing one of them self loathing protest movements to rid him, even though they get right behind all their managers forever and ever.

i would like to see someone else deal with this squad though. if they get someone like benitez in they may fluke a couple of cups again, but this squad is tosh and he would finish lower than rodgers imo. but yeah, them hovering around 6th or 7th with no trophies is okay by me.

A few years ago on youtube there used to be this bellend of a Liverpool fan who'd do match reports. He had a guitar and would occasionally sing on it too. I can't remember his name. It was around the Hogdson era and he hated Ryan Babel. Does anyone know if he is still knocking around making videos anywhere and have a link to his youtube page? I remember after one derby we beat them he even snarled at "the blueshite fans who like watching his videos to laugh at him". He was a bit of a hero in our house.

I know exactly who you're on about, but I can't remember his name. When we beat them 2-0 he went on a massive rant at the end of his video about our fans singing "going down", saying that "at least our club has a future". He actually looked a bit like Aldridge, and reminded me of him in a lot of ways

Had 3 men on the halfway line when they scored their goal. Sad when you think you need to strike clubs like hull on the fast break

Also check his hair out. Look how far back you can see his scalp. He's as bald as a coot

Tell you what, he looked shot to pieces in that interview ! The fat short arse, looked like he was gunner burst into tears any second!
