hmmm...so perhaps they are in with a chance for the title next season...they go again huh?

....nope, the best they can hope for is the race for 4th although I can see all of the teams currently above them spending big this summer and the gap widening. I also wonder how long they can keep hold of their 2 best players - Sterling and Coutinho. It'll be a big summer for BR.

It's hilarious to see the hope that still bubbles to the surface in the deluded ones. We Evertonians have long since learned that hope only kills you...plus we are also aware that we are a crap team managed by a nincompoop. Liverpool have exactly these same constraints, yet they think they are going to win something...deluded bells.

hard to crow too much cause they are still better than us, yes they've spent an obscene amount of money but still doesn't change the fact does it :(

Liverpool DID speak to PSV about Memphis Depay before he agreed Manchester United deal, reveals club director Marcel Brands
Liverpool did hold talks with PSV over a summer deal for Memphis Depay, despite manager Brendan Rodgers insisting that the club were not interested in the Dutch winger.......Asked whether Liverpool had attempted to sign the Eredivisie top scorer, Rodgers said: 'It was not something that we were interested in.....But speaking before PSV's 2-0 win against Heracles Almelo on Sunday, sporting director Marcel Brands admitted that he did speak with Reds chief executive Ian Ayre about Depay.
Brands said: 'There was a lot of interest in him. Finally we spoke with three clubs and we made contact.
'I didn't speak with Brendan Rodgers. I had contact with Ian Ayre. I know there were some problems with (Daniel) Sturridge, maybe that changed the decision. 'I don't know. I'm not in the club of Liverpool. I don't know what the policies are inside

....it is amazing sitting with their fans watching games how they have turned on Sterling. Suddenly he is useless and should be sold. Personally, I think he is pivotal for them.

*cough cough, splutter splutter*

Everyones favourite second team mate. The nation wept for a month after they finished 2nd/won the league 3 times last year. Dont you remember?

Second team?

Yeah. Because everyone looks for their result every week to laugh at them if they lose.

Thats a fact.

I know. Everyone I know, from every club they support, (mainly smaller clubs), loathe them. Makes it even funnier when they delude themselves that they are a national treasure alongside David Attenborough.

National treasure?

Most people I know supporting other teams would love to see them relegated. I know no one who likes them.

They are completely loathed.

Actually it does change everything. When you spend the amount of money that LFC spent in the off-season, they should be competing for trophies or at the very least a CL spot and they'll get none of that and never got close to challenging for the league. Sorry but with spending they went through in the summer, come high expectations and they never came close to living up to that. Yeah they may be ahead of us in the table, but who cares? There still going to finish the season with nothing to show for it but a EL spot.

And no, there not that better then us when you look closely.
