ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

....it is amazing sitting with their fans watching games how they have turned on Sterling. Suddenly he is useless and should be sold. Personally, I think he is pivotal for them.

he carried them for 3/4rs of this season. if it wasn't for him, they'd be stuck down with us - no doubt. they're just being their usual bitter selves as they can see he will be off soon. and when it comes to admitting players are good when they leave liverpool for better pastures new, they can't bring themselves to compliment them.

Actually it does change everything. When you spend the amount of money that LFC spent in the off-season, they should be competing for trophies or at the very least a CL spot and they'll get none of that and never got close to challenging for the league. Sorry but with spending they went through in the summer, come high expectations and they never came close to living up to that. Yeah they may be ahead of us in the table, but who cares? There still going to finish the season with nothing to show for it but a EL spot.

And no, there not that better then us when you look closely.

in terms of getting football results they are currently better than us, i don't care about us being better fans, people etc

footballs about results, their results are better than ours. they've spent so much more and should be so much better than they are... but fact remains they are still currently better than us.

and thats why its hard to crow.

If we were ahead of liverpool by a margin of 10 points or more and they tried to claim they were better than us... you'd be calling them delusional in a second.

This outpouring of grief is massively unsavoury. Have you ever read anythin like this in your life

It is sickening, the worst thing about the media love in with Gerrard is they were always blinkered to him being a dirty, cheating f uck. Every dive to cheat and get a pen was classed as Gerrard being "clever" to win the reds***e a pen, every bad tackle was never reported, but anyone else it would be all over the media.

When he goes to America you would hope that would be it, but it won't, there will be specials on his performances over there every week, there will be interviews, every time England are on he will be mentioned to death, sickening doesn't come close.

Mignolet won their player of the season award. Now that's progress after a world class player like Suarez won it last season

Are they on crack? ??

He was that good he got dropped indefinitely in December.

The utter melts.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has been dropped from the side for an indefinite period.

The 26-year-old Belgium international had been a regular for the Reds since arriving from Sunderland ahead of the 2013-14 season.

And Rodgers says the 32-year-old Jones, who was starting his first Premier League game since March 2013, will keep his place for the time being.

Asked if Jones was now first choice at Liverpool, Rodgers said: “Yes. I said to Simon it was for an indefinite period.

"It is something that can happen to keepers, taking them out of the firing line to give them time to reflect.
