ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

How many other managers have had multiple players with 700+ appearances stop playing for them whilst they were at the club for such a relatively short time?
Fergie might perhaps had a couple but he was there 20 odd years (Giggs, Scholes), the rest have played for other teams

Must be something about Brenda, he's enough to make anyone retire

Ah, I see what you mean. These are odd comments from Gerrard though.

Steven Gerrard speaking to Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker: "I wanted to say goodbye in a proper way - the only way I'd ever come back would be an emergency situation, but I hope I'm not needed come the winter."

On being a future manager: "You have to be good enough. This is a big club and can be brutal at times. I'm trying to go through the coaching badges and it's a bridge I will cross in a couple of years."

Stevie's holiday snap

I really do hope that you are not comparing Shankly to our present manager, there was a time when nobody, I mean nobody beat us at Anfield and now they are queuing up.

No, I'm not.

I am standing proud of LFC in any circumstances.

I'm saying, people are too quick to write us off and think all is lost.

It's happened so often in our history. What has happened?

We have risen. Magnificently.

I'm drawing parallels with another time when everything was lost.

This club is too big to give in to despair.

Too magnificent to listen to the also rans.

The brooding, moaning gobshites who are pissing the bed and moaning.

I'm talking to them.

I refuse to accept we aren't magnificent. Magic. Formidable.

Donald, my jaw dropped and hit the floor when I seen your post. Did not believe it until checked the Pl scores.

Bon voyage Stevie me.
