ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Palace win lands Liverpool their 17th defeat of the season - the same as us (sadly). Mind you after 57+1 games (3 x 30 mins extra time) only 74 goals scored (2 more than our 72 in 50) - including 7 pens and 3 o.gs is nothing to get excited about.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers: "In my time here we have lost two players who have played 700 games in Jamie Carragher and now Steven. They have been monumental players for this club and you throw in losing a world-class player like Luis Suarez. This is the challenge but we have to rise to it."

Translation. IT ISNT MY FAULT.

Both Carra and Gerrard were crap when they stopped paying. They actually did him a favour by retiring.

Disagree with you about carragher. Yes he wasn't the player he was when he retired, but I'm thankful he did cos I think they would have won the league with him in the defence (and reffing games) last season.

Who is the odd man out here....Alex Manninger, Luis Boa Morte, Quinton Fortune, Dion Dublin, David May, Christopher Wreh and Stevie G.

Stevie G. All the others have won a PL medal.lol

Bobby Mimms (Blackburn)
John O'Kane (Man U), Martin Keown (Arsenal), Joleon Lescott (City), Phil Neville (Man U)
Stephen Hughes (Arsenal), Darron Gibson, Wayne Rooney (both Man U), Jack Rodwell (City)
Mike Newell (Blackburn), Louis Saha (Man U)

Subs: Franny Jeffers (Arsenal), Bebe and sundry other undeserving souls(!!)

I really do hope that you are not comparing Shankly to our present manager, there was a time when nobody, I mean nobody beat us at Anfield and now they are queuing up.

No, I'm not.

I am standing proud of LFC in any circumstances.

I'm saying, people are too quick to write us off and think all is lost.

It's happened so often in our history. What has happened?

We have risen. Magnificently.

I'm drawing parallels with another time when everything was lost.

This club is too big to give in to despair.

Too magnificent to listen to the also rans.

The brooding, moaning gobshites who are pissing the bed and moaning.

I'm talking to them.

I refuse to accept we aren't magnificent. Magic. Formidable.

God, that club is grim. Absolute melts.

"Magnificent. Magic. Formidable." :D
