A Premier League boss and his estranged wife have become embroiled in a dispute over money, it was reported today.
Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers and love-split Susan argued over cash in a family court, lawyers said.
A judge was understood to have today made a ruling on the amount of maintenance Mr Rodgers, 42, should pay to Mrs Rodgers, at a hearing in London.
Detail was released by Vardags, the law firm representing Mrs Rodgers.
A spokeswoman for the firm said the Rodgers' relationship had broken down.
She said the couple had been together for more than 20 years and married for more than 10 years.
Lawyer Catherine Thomas added: "Susan is saddened that after a relationship spanning 24 years she had to go to court to secure sufficient maintenance from her husband."
Mr Rodgers, from Carnlough, Co Antrim, has made no comment.
He has served as manager of Liverpool FC since 2012.

Drip...drip...drip....drip... it all came tumbling.webp

This is only funny because it's happening to Liverpool

If Barkley had a very good season then turned down 100k a week and insisted he wanted a move. We would have a similar fume.

Liverpool of course have handled this very badly, but if one of the top young players in country wanted to leave us before fully developing AND with only 2 full seasons of first team football under his belt. We also would be going through a similar meltdown.

Don't get me wrong I'm absolutely reveling in their current misery. But the people who say Sterling is totally justified in wanting to leave right now before properly learning his trade are wrong imo.

I know the Rooney situation is different in many ways....Like he was 10x the player at Sterling's age for a start, but they do have some similarities..

Like Rooney left us before his time..... Some people still haven't got over that (me included) and we were consistent relegation fodder at the time.

So let's not pretend the [Poor language removed] fans are acting totally irrational about all of this, because we would be the same.

The ex players on the other hand should be ashamed of themselves for some of the crap they've spouted in public.

No we would not be the same. You are wrong.

Most Blues would tell Barkley to Koff.

Then we'd look for an upgrade. Literally. Or buy two better players from it.

There wouldn't be any of this funny media drama nonsense. We're in the real world. They're not.

We all knew the lad had talent but he looks a complete all round player, love him i really do, maturity way beyond his year

Fan-..wait for it..-tastic.

Someone in the half time thread brought it up: best teenager in the world
Having a hard time thinking of anyone better.

He's living up to his potential, if you were a top young talent in this country you must be thinking that Liverpool is the place to be- I can't think of another manager apart from Wenger who is as good at developing talent as Rodgers

Him and Flanagan, in their own right, will be the cornerstone of LFC for the next decade.

2 or 3 years and this guy will be the one of the best in the prem if he continues this progression under Rodgers

We have a world class talent on our hands here, and it looks like his head is now screwed on so no reason why he can't become one of the best of his generation

Now

Talk of ambition is fine if the kid wasn't bloody 20 years old and years away from his peak or even fulfilling his potential. I'd be less bitter if he hadn't been awful for the past 6 months

De Bruyne, Schurrle etc are being talked around 35M and this lad is 40M? bloody hell it cannot happen soon enough.

Athleticism and speed. Hides a multitude of sins.

Any club decides to take a massive gamble and wing £40m our way I'd gladly take it.

Suarez made Sterling look better than he was..now back to normal

If we can sell him to any club except United and invest it into De Bruyne then I'm in! Who the [Poor language removed] wouldn't swap Sterling for De Bruyne?

With that kind of attitude I doubt that he will ever reach his full potential.

When a kid behaves deplorably, both parents need to take a stance..I don't buy into this "he's the best teenager in Europe" [Poor language removed]

You're right that plenty would tell Barkley to do one if he publicly asked to leave. But if he'd lived up to his hype this season then we would be all gutted and upset he tried to push for a move in a similar way to what Sterling has.

Sterling has been poo this season

I hope he gets as much money out of him as he can. I'm surprised he put up with him as long as this.
