Its the season before he gets the sack really isnt it, we saw it at West Ham last year - once the directors start getting involved in coach recruitment its game over.

So long Brodge.

Team Koeman.

He was always good for a laugh, Rodgers. Anyone with a couple of brain cells to rub together could see it was the Peter Principle personified: elevated way beyond his rightful grade and destined to remain a no mark. A mirthful appointment to sit back and enjoy if you were a blue.

However, to be willing to get on his knees and crawl for his job like this makes him pitiful as well as laughable. The feller's pathetic. He's living off the scraps of a Luis Suarez wonder season, but his three year reign has been a calamity and he knows it.

Anyone with self respect would seek a way out and join his right hand men who were sacked; shamefully he's remained and would rather be a lame duck manager waiting for the axe to fall. What a chancer.

And some think we're dipping below ourselves to sign 25 year old England International and PL title winner Tom Cleverley...

Liverpool are set to complete the free transfer signing of Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, 27, when his contract at the Championship club expires at the end of this month and are considering a bid for Burnley defender Kieran Trippier, 24, after having a £10m offer for Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne, 24, rejected.

lollollol

I think they are skint mate, their transfer activity is weird - Milner, Clyne, Trippier. While i think Brodge would have been for the chop if they didnt have to compensate him after giving him a new contract last year, clearly that confidence is gone. Hes a lame duck now. And looks like financial adjustments are being made without the CL revenue.

Brodge might have to hang is hat of Laser, Mario, Milner Hendo and Allen to rescue an unravelling career.h

Just made a bet with my villa fan mate that we will finish above the [Poor language removed] next season.

What do you reckon? ?

It's early days in the transfer window, but I wouldn't mind betting that FSG are already looking at savings to buy out Rodgers contract and bring another regime in.

I suppose it could be argued that they could do that right now and have done with it, but I think they may feel that they have to be seen to be diplomatic here and give him a few more months. The problem with that is that is that it completely misjudges the mood of the bulk of Kopites on the matter, who were looking for decisive action on the issue (though, of course, holding onto their right to have a good bitch about a sacking on the side).

This only ends one way now though: Rodgers out on his ear probably before the new year.
