The gift.

"50 million for Sterling is a bargain in today's market. You get at least 8 top years out of him. United paid 30 for a Rooney at a similar level over ten years ago. These sort of signings always pay off. He's only getting better. He's no Lennon or SWP. I'm sad we're losing him but city should shut up and stump up the money, and we should suck them dry."

That just keeps giving.

Sterlings agent must be loving this - getting to be in the same room as people who demand that Raheem is valued as one of the top ten players in world football, whilst also insisting he doesnt deserve to be on the same money as Sewerz, Gerrard, Balotelli, Lallana and probably more than a few others are on (or were on) over there, never mind anyone else at other clubs.

He's played them like an old fiddle and yet their media mongrels have been calling him all sorts and attacking him for nearly 9 months. He really must be laughing his cock off now.

If this was a game of strip poker they'd be sitting in their bills shivering now while this fellas not taken off his coat.

The Alternative Premier League Table 2015/16:

New fixtures have thrown up a fascinating situation for next season's APLT. Playing Stoke, the Derby and the five sides who finished above us in our opening seven away games will give us a par of 28 from the first fourteen matches. We more or less need to be perfect after the first 14 games to not lose points to par. This is what we need

Stoke (a) - 1
Bournemouth (h) - 3
Arsenal (a) - 1
West Ham (h) - 3
United (a) - 1
Norwich (h) - 3
Villa (h) - 3
Everton (a) - 1
Spurs (a) - 1
Southampton (h) - 3
Chelsea (a) - 1
Palace (h) - 3
City (a) - 1
Swansea (h) – 3

There are twelve Par 1 games, and after we play City away we will only have five more to play. So par for the remainder of the season after the opening fourteen would be 62 points from 24 games.

Have they included the factor that they are gash ?

Agree, the English premium is way over the odds. How much would we accept for stones and Barkley and sterling is ahead of them in development.

just produce a couple of englishmen from the youth to fill the squad as 3rd choice keeper etc and try and pick up a decent bargains every now and then i.e. out of contracts/last year of contracts. wouldn't bother with anything other than that for englishment tbh - there's not exactly a wealth of talent available anyway.
