Got to congratulate a young lad in Sterling who has managed to wing himself money beyond his ability in his chosen career.

Good luck to him. A great deal for the player and Liverpool - the losing party here are Manchester City, but even for them they have enough money not to care that they've just payed a good £40m over the odds for a player.

pffftttt....if you can't threaten to abduct a footballers daughter and racially abuse him what can you do these days? football has gone soft!

Ooh really covering themselves in glory here aren't they!

like i said two days ago. utter morons. I'm guessing you have to enter your personal details to create a twitter account. It's not going to be a hard process to track you down

No. Just an e-mail. well, I thinks so. I used twitter for about 2 minutes before jibbing it. Even if you do have to give details though, it's not hard to give blag ones.

People will we roped in by their IP address/phone. Still, you can guarantee that some will be using an unregistered PAYG sim - these are normally the type who post the most vile crap.

Doesn't work quite like that, but yeah they are on to them.

I'd say he's worth about £25m. Still massively overpaid for him like.

£49m ffs, they could've easily got him for less if they played it smarter. As if FSG were really gonna let an asset like him rot in the reserves. City should have been in the driving seat but they've just bent over for Liverpool there.

Wouldn't be so sure mate. They let Suarez rot for a short while, and after the transfer window closed, he almost dragged them to a title win. Thank the lord for Jose, Slippy G and Palace. Can you imagine how unbearable they'd be if they actually won it? Chris alive, it was bad enough just when they thought they were gonna win it.

Delph turning City down may have strengthened liverpool's hand a little as City clearly want to get the home grown contingent up. That said it would not surprise me if, like with Suarez, the actual amount paid is not £49m.
