to be fair, he's not far wrong.
They do sell one or two of their better players on to bigger big clubs for good money. It nearly covers the huge losses on all those they sign who don't progress.
Suarez, Alonso, Gerrard probably.

I bloody love Aguero but there was a time where Suarez was unplayable and quite a lot better than Aguero.Played to get away you mean?
Aguero is better, also Gerrard - world class? Are you having a laugh?
@davek
But he didn't play for City, he played for them and became world class during that time, which was the original point.Just fulfilled his potential mate. He would have been even better (and certainly more successful) if he'd signed for Citeh instead.
Other than that, I defo agree he was made in klanfield.

Gerrard, again was for a time an exceptional player and at the time one of the best players on his position. Let's not be so one eyed to the point of blindness.

that's because they are continually left with the dross that don't make it as 'World Class' players. They have to influence an ex-manager to give them caps to make them a more attractive buy for anyone stupid enough to take their overpriced undertalented toshThey've already spent more than what they'll get out of the Sterling deal. They still look like nothing more than a Europa team.

Or both? They played a style that completely suited him and both profited from it.Well, yes. But did the shabite "make" him werld class, or was it the opposite, and he actually made them a good team?

And at the end of the day they sold him to a bigger team.Or both? They played a style that completely suited him and both profited from it.
To be fair, Bobby has just said McGeady is going nowhere this window (I imagine that might also change if someone puts a bid in)I do love how the mainstream media blackout is playing on this one. Rodgers explicitly said he would not sell Sterling. We are two weeks into the transfer window and he's about to go. Liverpool will receive 34 million rising to 39 million for he deal. But Rodgers has lied again and looked stupid.

It's just what Managers (have to) say.
